I think we need to send a few more bucks to help Chaps son get a month in the Sr. Hounds Abound 2014 Calendar. There is just a few more days left and Colby Chaps is pleading!!!

Sr. Hounds Abound is a retirement home for elder Basset Hounds in FL.
Since the elders cannot waddle this is their big fundraiser for the year!

Colby Chaps doesn’t have a chance unless we start voting!!! The Doyle hounds sent in their bone money yesterday. I ordered a calendar too and would be very disappointed if Colby Chaps was not featured on a month. So everyone dig deep! VOTE, VOTE, VOTE!!!
Yes, I am going to be ordering my calendars as well. I love this calendar so much. If Colby Chaps does not win a month it would be the first time that a bassethoundtown featured resident did not make the cut *hangs head in sorrow*
Mabel and Sophie gave a month’s worth of toy money (mabel can go through the toys!)to bring Colby Chaps to a win!
Ok, we’ve brought Colby Chaps up to 24th place but that’s not good enough. He has to be in 12th place to win a month and voting gets hot and heavy on the last day. I’m sure hoping that there’s others out there that haven’t read this yet that will vote before the end of the month.

I think that facebook has really helped to push votes for certain hounds. I think some on facebook are giving the wrong impression that there is an ultimate winner and not 12 winners. I think this is driving the numbers up for the ones in the lead. Very strange. Anything can happen and our Colby Chaps is in the running still! hehehe
We will be so sad if there is no BHT resident on one of the months of the calendar. Hannah is always so excited when she gets to a month and “knows” the hound from BHT!
I know OM – For some reason the voting seems really different this year. It used to be pretty even up until the last day and than is when folks started jumping in and making it kind of exciting and fun but this year there a huge facebook campaigns for a particular hound and some voting don’t seem to comprehend there are multiple winners. There is no first prize! Oh, other than you get to pick your month. Regardless, the voting in our town is down for sure. Hopefully folks and hounds are not moving to another town??? The horror of that thought~ I shutter to think!!!! Wonder where they would go? Now I am getting paranoid…
Well, no matter where they go, they’ll be back. There’s no place like Basseet Hound Town.
How about, everybody that reads Basset Hound Town, even if you don’t comment, go on over to Senior Hounds Abound and give Colby Chaps 5 votes. If just a portion of the readers would do that, Colby Chaps would be in.
