First off Mommy takes me for a birthday walk!

When we got home Mommy made me my favorite birthday boy treats!

Before we could eat the treats a happy birthday song was in order!!!

Abby was a bit off key…

Then some after dinner hunting.

Bunny, bunny where are you?

Then I enjoyed my extra special birthday present.  An orthopaedic bed with a cooling pad!

It gets hot in TX residents!

I loved my 11th birthday and sharing it makes it better!

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and tomato lovers…Grandma and I had high hopes for a bumper crop but nonetheless our hopes were dashed

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Bumper Alessandro Lovers…

I held a meeting today with his royal majesty to discuss howl he is getting along after winning a month in this years Sr. Hounds Abound calendar.

As you can see, he is doing bassetabulous.  Our very own Bumper will be 12 years old in February, along with his sister Abby seated in her throne behind me.

Bumper wants all the residents to vote for Colby Chaps Mead!!!

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Red Door Lovers…

This morning was a delicious day for a hound walk and Daisy Lynn and I took off with vigor!

We thought the residents might enjoy this picture perfect moment!

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Sr. Hounds Abound Calendar Contest Lovers…

The voting booths are open and we need to get Colby Chaps the month of September in honor of his birth.

Here is the picture that won the most votes from the residents to enter into the contest.  I had to go with the light over his head (which was a concern for some of us) because it was the best fit for the lay out.  Regardless, himz is a doll baby made for love.

Hi, my name is Colby Chaps Mead and I am the proud son of the late Mayor Chaps Wayne Rudert.  I turned 11 years old in September, but age has not slowed me down one bit.  When I’m not sleeping I enjoy hunting rabbits and catching opossums (not my mom’s favorite, but they are easier to catch, and then they play dead) so I feel accomplished.  I have one adopted sister, Abby and one human sister Jourdan.  They both take really good care of me.  Abby and I enjoy howling together & taking walks! My mom always tells me I’m her ‘Colby Man’ and I like that……I also like the ‘tummy rubs’ she gives me!    I love going on a walk everyday, and my favorite part is seeing all my furry friends.  I would love to represent the month of September since it’s my Birthday Month, so vote for me…..Colby Chaps Mead!

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and September first lovers…I adore September first because that means August is OVER!!!  I guess you can tell I am not a fan of sticky humidity.

And neither is Daisy Lynn….

We both look forward to fall and the end of the dog days of summer…
