Does your hound have a favorite toy?
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and favorite toy lovers…I have been blessed with bassets for 2 decades and I have seen hounds that like toys, kind of like toys, not like toys, and in Chaps case just one little toy that he would nuzzle for a few moments. It was so cute.
Daisy Lynn loves toys and she is the toy lover of the world! She does have a favorite.
Mr. Snake Toy. We name all of her toys which number at about 50.
She plays with it night and day.
She even sleeps with it. I find it in our bed most mornings.
So, you can imagine our fear that something would happen to Mr. Snake and of course it did. The wild squeakers were affected after I washed it. I was mortified. It did not seem to matter too much and some of the sound slowly came back.
I had cut the tag off so I had no idea howl to find another one. We got it at TJMaxx so they just get odds and ends.
I gooogled and googled but no luck…until Grandma and I walked into a boutique dog store in the mall!
A real Christmas shopping treasure! 3 Mr. Snakes!!!
I thought I was going to pass out! They had 3 and I bought 3! 1 for my place, 1 for Grandma’s place and one to keep in reserve.

Cookie is a terror when it comes to puncturing the squeaker. I found a brand called “Plush Puppies Invincibles”. Even if the squeaker is punctured, it will still squeak. I first found the brand at the pet store in the Kenwood Town Center. I’ve since found them online through Amazon and they are half the price.
So, what was the toy actually called?
No toys at our house presently – Mabel is much too hard on them. Poor Sophie, she loves toys, but Mabel has to get through probably another year as a really big puppy.
Denise Tater Tot and Cookie!!! That is where I found Mr. Snake! I really like that store but they are expensive. I am going to go look at the tag right now and see if that is what Mr. Snake is. Mr. Snake is from PetLou company. It has one of those squeakers that is barrel like and Daisy Lynn can actually play a song on it. Very cute. I will try to get a video!!! On a different note we are really getting a downpour of ice. My big bushes in the back are beginning to lean over. OMDawg…I hope I don’t lose them.
Slinky loved, squeeky toys and colorful toys. Slinky would hide them, and snuggle with them, but if she sensed a treat was going, she would leave them in an instant.
Ollie has lots of toys but he has 2 favorites. His tennis ball & a squeaky toy by Pet Stages. I hope your bushes survive the bad weather. I was wondering if you were getting all the ice. It has got really cold here -windchill is 10 degrees & light snow.
