Miss Carly – beautiful blind basset looking for her special forever home!
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Miss Carly Lovers…
Miss Carly found me on facebook.
She asked me if I could showcase her on my special facebook page for blind basset hounds!
Miss Carly was so lucky to be rescued by Basset Buddies Rescue of Texas.
Please go to the link and check out the requirements for adopting a basset from this wonderful rescue. They are very detailed and complete.
Carly is currently with her wonderful foster Mommy, Tiffany!
Tiffany has some wonderful words about Miss Carly!
“Carly can do anything that a seeing basset can do–she just does it a little slower. The first night she was in my house, she found the back door at 3 a.m. and barked until I woke up and let her out. She loves walking around the neighborhood and spontaneously rolling in the grass along the way. This Diva has spunk and will let you know if she doesn’t feel like going outside when you are trying to get her to go. She’s just put the breaks on and stop right there and refuse to go outside. She’s a hoot! Once her painful eyes came out a few weeks ago and she healed from surgery, every day a little more personality shows through and she became a different dog.
She’s 3, but she behaves like a 7 year old dog just because she does everything a little slower and more cautiously. She’s never met a person she didn’t like, but she has never met a dog she did like. She insists on being an only dog and she darn well deserves it after living the hard life of a caged breeder dog who was dumped in the streets blind. She eats up attention like no other foster I’ve had. I suspect she rarely, if ever, received love in her life. She deserves nothing but the best family, and I have no problem keeping her as long as it takes to find the special person who sees beauty and promise when she look at her face.”
Merry Christmas Miss Carly! You are a beautiful angel…
More loving networking the blind later…Cat, Daisy Lynn (Chaps and Emma ATB watching over all of us)
Such a pretty young girl. I sure hope she finds her deserving home. Thanks so much Cat for all your work with blogging for Carly. BBRTX really appreciates your help.
