Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Lilies blooming lovers…Last year the first bloom happened on my birthday but this year, the first bloom was on Father’s Day. This is so very fitting because Grandpaw transplanted them from the old place I lived. Oh, they were so beautiful and set off the bottom area of the property with an orange glow.
I tried to capture it with my Lily.
I guess this was the summer of 1994. I know I have showed some other pictures of Lily in the lilies but this one is new. I have others to share. I probably took about 100 pictures, most of which did not turn out. Of course, that was back in the day of film. Oh, Lily was so pretty.
Now for a look at our current flower girl…
Daisy Lynn by the very same lilies photographed 20 years later…
Here is a better shot of the grouping….
Then we meandered down and picked Grandma a magnolia.
This picture was taken of Chloe and Lily the day my Dad planted the Magnolia tree back in 1998.
And the same tree, picture taken today with Daisy Lynn…
Wow…the more things change, the more they stay the same.
More loving summer, gardens and hounds later….Cat, Daisy Lynn, (Chaps and Emma ATB with Chloe and Lily)
