Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Colby Chaps Lovers…Gawd I love this hound beyond words.

Recently, our Colby Chaps was not feeling well and even had to spend the night at the vet office to get some fluids.  Well, I was very worried about himz and made sure his Mom kept me updated.  Here is my update….

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and May Pole lovers.  Wow!  I love May Day.  I had to find this old photo to share.  Back when we were kids May Day was huge.  We lived across from our elementary school and 3 May Poles were erected.

I am in the middle!  We all danced the May Pole.

Everyone dressed up in their best outfits and it was a huge lawn party.

Daisy Lynn had a great day.  She did not dance the May Pole but enjoyed being with her Mom and Grandma.

We just love May!

Not quite a May pole but all the same…Happy May Day!…

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Lunch Lovers…Today was pretty much close to perfect in bassethoundtown.  Daisy Lynn is going to be a sun bather like Shimlette.

This is where Daisy Lynn took her 10:00am nap.  It was so cute…

The birds were singing and the chipmunks were running past her (from a far) to get a better look.  I saw Verna trying to figure out what was going on.  She adored Chaps and she hated Lily.  Lily got one of her babies that fell out of the nest once.  Time will tell what happens with the newly elected Mayor.

Howllo fellow basset hound and firm stool lovers.  I did not know I was a lover until I did not have the firm you know what!  What a hassle!

So, the good news is, Daisy Lynn does not have parasites or some kind of worm that does not show up in a fecal test.

So now we are trying a new and different type of kibble.  WOW!  Yesterday at Petsmart really was interesting.  So many dog foods!

I guess it is a crap shoot;) so to speak.  We picked the one that sounded the best but who the heck knows?

Here is Daisy Lynn with our next attempt to achieve the desired results!  That is also her new toy.

 

This morning was her first try of the new food.  We also use a bowl with the center expanded up to slow her down and hopefully prevent bloat.  It works really good.

Well, she seemed to like it.

We also selected the puppy cookie from the same line.

So far, no results…if you know what I mean;)

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Tuckered Out Lovers…Today we took the baby to Petsmart to pick out a few new toys and a few other things….

She was so busy meeting and greeting that when we got to the toy section she got all tuckered out!

Grandma and I picked out a few toys and she does love them.

When puppies get tired puppies must rest…

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and The Yellow Dog Project Lovers….

My guess is you have not heard of The Yellow Dog Project yet so let me share this wonderful idea that I think is going to take hold.

Please pass the word to those you meet along the way.  Educate others and this will catch on.  I was actually in the process of placing Yellow Ribbons on the late Mayor’s leashes at the time of his passing.  I was getting us ready for spring.

The Mayor, as grand and glorious as he was did not care for other dogs, except for our very own Emma.  He could be grouchy at times while on walks and this yellow ribbon would have been perfect for him and an education for others.

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Gerber Queen Lovers…Today we took our Baby Mayor to the vet for several reasons.  First off, I want her to get used to having her paws and ears handled by her vet.  She needed her nails clipped and her ears cleaned.  Her ears were PERFECT  but she had them looked at to get her used to this.

But there was another reason we took her to be checked out.  Poor kid has had really soft stools since we adopted her.  What is going on?  I can’t have this.  Her stool sample was fine today.

I have tried pumpkin, green beans, yogurt and a diet change. What is going on?  She is gaining weight and is active as active can be!

Well…we will keep trying to figure this out and in the mean time off to the park!

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and nap lovers…

I would say that Daisy Baby takes about 3 naps a day.  I try to be there when she wakes up so I can see this cute face!

And then the belly rubs ensue!  YES!

So many naps, so many belly rubs!  Spring is good…
