Tinkling on a sheet of ice…burrrrrrr

February 5th, 2014 - 8:08 pm KY Time

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and hating ice tinkling lovers…burrrrrr, It just sends shivers through my body.  Poor Daisy Lynn was trying to sprinkle and was slipping and sliding all over the place.  She actually fell on her rump roast before I got her back in and under her purple blankee…

Even if I wanted to, I could not have shoveled this thick ice.  Our friend and groundskeeper came over and made sure she did not slip again.  He was at bassethoundtown for almost 3 hours.  It normally takes him about a half hour to shovel bassethoundtown.  Whew…what would we do without him?  I will answer that, fall on our rump roasts!

More loving shoveled paths later…Cat, Daisy Lynn, (Chaps and Emma ATB never worrying about ice again…)

Poor Daisy Lynn! Good thing she’s young. My old hounds would have never been able to handle ice tinkling. Thank doG for the groundskeeper! I do hope it thaws out at Basset Hound town very soon. We can’t keep the offices shut for too much longer!

The ice can be trouble for a Basset and a Basset Slave. Slinky once pulled me and I fell on my hip, and I had a sore badly bruised hip that bothered me for months.

    Be careful out there.

P.S. I wouldn’t mind going back under my blankee at all. This is a tough winter.

YIKES!! be careful!! This winter just won’t loosen it’s grips!! I would love more sunshine!! & to have the temps be a little(a lot) warmer! We have single digits here & lake effect snow again. Ollie has had enough.

We haven’t had heat or electricity for the last two nights and we are settling in for another long, dark and cold night. We have the fireplace going and we are all huddled about in the living room. They predict we won’t have power on until Saturday. Yuck!

Sandy – did you get your electric back yet? You said Sat but maybe it came back early. You really have trouble with that don’t you? I cannot imagine being without heat. Daisy Lynn helps, and she did gain eight pounds, but I still don’t think that would be enough meat to generate too much heat! Keep us posted…
