Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Mayoral health report lovers….
As the predominate bassethoundtown official for the past 13 months, the Mayor Daisy Lynn Rudert is required to undergo an annual physical examination. The results must be reported to her constituents.
It was a rigorous day that started as everyday does, brushing her teeth. This is a huge part of her long term health care.
Not the best picture but her teeth are blazing white!

Then there was a trip to her holistic vet, Dr. Ron Leick. We were anxious to hear if our physical therapy on her left paw was working. Dr. Leick was extremely pleased with her progress and reported that our efforts are paying off and her ankle and ligaments are significantly “looser.” It is not as loose as her right ankle but the improvement was music to our long ears…
I could tell our efforts were paying off but wanted his confirmation. This is a medical photo that will go into her chart;)

Dr. Leick reported that Daisy Lynn is extremely well balanced and just a few very minor adjustments were necessary. We are now on a schedule of every 10 weeks.
Next stop was our family practitioner, Dr. Eric Doan. Daisy Lynn was warned not to gain any more weight as she had gained 8 pounds over the last 12 weeks. She now weighs in at 51.7 pounds. This weight gain coincides with the end of our daily walks due to weather. Yikes, hope I did not gain 8 pounds!!!
Grandma and I decided to start a bathing routine at her vet office. We had hoped to do this on our own but our experience was similar to placing her into a hot frying pan.
Here she is waiting for us to pick her up.

The nice gals at the office set her up in their area with her very own Dora the Explorer towel.

With the weather in bassethoundtown still shockingly cold we rushed her to the basset hauling vehicle and then home.
She was still a bit damp.

It was a long day butt this city official must keep as healthy as possible to run such a major and global town.

More loving next years report later…Cat, Daisy Lynn (Chaps and Emma ATB very proud of the new Mayor…)
P.S. – breaking news – severe ice storm moving through bassethoundtown. Hope we keep our electric! If not, I have my healthy hound heater smelling all good from her bath…
