Saturday in the park…
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Saturday in the park lovers…Grandma, Daisy Lynn and I are going to explore as many parks as we can. We adore going to parks as many of the residents know.
Today we went to Fernbank Park, one of the Great Parks of Hamilton County, Ohio.
We rated it – 5 paws up!
Just look at this extra wide walking path that winds along the Ohio River…
Grandma pointed out today that it is a huge part of the Mayor’s job to report about the parks in bassethoundtown to her constituents and to bring public awareness to the park systems in every town. These are truly a treasure to behold.
Look howl a hound can rest and soak in the spring breezes…
We all wear pedometers and try to get 10,000 steps a day. This is a number, by all accounts, is a goal we should all try to reach! We bought ours at Walmart for about 6.00!
So lets get all of our legs moving!
All the way to the dog water fountain! Gotta love that! (see my pedometer?)
Believe me…you will sleep sound after 10,000 steps!
More loving parks and 10,000 steps a day later…Cat, Daisy Lynn (Chaps and Emma ATB enjoying the many rainbow parks…)
What a beautiful day & park!! I love hearing about all the parks you see. I am going to have to work on finding some flat ones near me. We go to Hughes Park but doesn’t compare to where you go. I know there are some closer to Lake MI but usually we have hills. I like your 10,000 step idea. I have a pedometer I should wear it!
So, if you get 10,000 steps that means Daisy Lynn gets 20,000 steps! Yes, beautiful park for sure.
Poor Miss Daisy Lynn. she must have gotten all tuckered out with those 20,000 steps!
Cat, I hope all that bad weather isn’t coming anywhere close to you. This is a really bad time of year for you folks in that area and south west of you. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Karen – We had a doozie of a storm come thru this morning. I was really frightened. I thought we were going to hit by lightening. It was right over bassethoundtown. We are in the moderate blob on the map for more storms this evening and tomorrow. It is a scary time of the year and thank you for thinking of us. When I woke up all I could think of was Chaps but then I was so overcome with joy for Daisy Lynn. She was not scared one bit. I think tomorrow I will have a tornado drill for Grandma, Daisy Lynn and I. Please everyone consider one with us. Tomorrow is Tornado Drill Day!
Stay safe residents…
What a beautiful day to be out and about with a beautiful Basset.
Thanks for sharing.
How are things going for the upcoming walk?
