A nice crop of spring freckles are coming in on the Mayor!
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and freckle crop lovers…Interestingly, today Grandma and I noticed a rather large and impressive crop of spring freckles.
This picture is not that great but you can see all of the ticking coming in. I know in Emma’s case the freckles came in more in the spring and summer.
I actually did a blog posting about it. Click here to see Emma’s impressive summer crop!
Make sure to click each picture on that link;)
This is a close up of Daisy’s crop…
This will document the crop so I can report back to the residents come summer.
Do any of you notice a freckle change with the season?
More loving the ever changing hound later…Cat, Daisy Lynn, (Chaps and Emma ATB now sporting rainbow freckles…)
I have never noticed a freckle change with the seasons on my hounds. But, I haven’t really paid that much attention to tell you the truth. Oz and Harriet have never had many freckles. Rugs was all freckles. I noticed Jethro getting more freckles as he got older. Then he started what they call “rusting” when he was about 8 years old. His black fur starting turning a light red. It was weird. You don’t think she’s getting more freckles as she gets older?
I always thought you or anyone was born with or without freckles. I never thought they came or developed as you grew.
I think they are not freckles, they are beauty spots!
My freckles come out more in the summertime!
Sandy:)
I haven’t noticed freckle changes in my hounds from season to season. Cookie and Tater are the first ones we have had with a lot of ticking. Tater’s ticking started to come in about two months after we got him. I do remember Ruby having a really pink tummy in the summer, but that was because she would lay in the grass on her back on sunny days and warm, my son called, her “buggy”.
I am like Sandy every summer the hot sun pops out my freckles, sun could be doing this on Daisy.
