Dog and Butterfly;)
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Dog and Butterfly Lovers…Who remembers that song? It was written and sung by HEART. It is also the name of this picture! LOL!!!
It’s Daisy Lynn as a caterpillar and yours truly as the butterfly! This was a fun picture board we tried out at Woodland Mound Park today! We found out that the wild flowers that draw in the butterflies were in full bloom!
Here we are looking for some of the butterflies…
They had warning signs to make sure to look for butterflies sunning their wings on the walking paths and don’t step on them! hehehe – Daisy Lynn was chasing them!
We met a friend named Bonnie! (Bonnie Lass)
Daisy Lynn wants to know if Timmy really was in the well???
It really is so much fun to go to the same parks over and over again because there is so many different things to see throughout the seasons.
And places for quite contemplation…
For a dog and butterfly chaser…
More loving life under wisteria later…Cat, Daisy Lynn (Chaps and Emma ATB chasing rainbow butterflies!)
So much to comment on!
First, what a beautiful park. I wish we had such places around here to take Hannah and the doggies to.
Second, how did you get Daisy Lynn to put her head through the hole while you were in the butterfly spot and your mom took the picture?
Third, you met a collie! Oh I miss our Lollie dog. Such good and loyal friends.
Finally, that is an amazing Wisteria!
Hi OM!!! Yes, so much packed into one blog posting for sure. Oh we are so lucky to have such an elaborate park system in our area. We even have a main roadway named Columbia Parkway that was created via the Works Project Administration and with a goal of connecting many parks along the way. Very interesting history for sure in our area.
Ahhhhh…the magic of photoshop! I just merged the 2 pics together and wound up with the end result. She was not very interested in sticking her head through but she did it for me. She heard some kids playing in the water park section. Yes, this particular park has it’s own huge pool and water park attached.
The Collie Bonnie is 10 years old and that man picked her up from the pound at 8 weeks old. Can you believe that? They walk in the park everyday he said. She was such a good girl and kept going back and forth between Grandma and I for pets. Her face was so peaceful. So so so pretty. I love her. I hope to meet up with her again.
That wisteria is stunning. I will have to get a picture of it when it is in bloom. There is another vine opposite it and it covers the entire roof of that shelter thing. It was designed to overlook the Ohio river. Park designers amaze me. Hope all is well this Sunday!
Love, Cat and Daisy Lynn the park hound!
I love Heart! I’ve seen them in concert about 4 or 5 times. We’ve seen a lot of butterflies at our land the past few times we’ve gone. I love butterflies. Another great post!
