Daisy Lynn always eats out of a bump bowl.  We actually bought a few extra at Krogers the last time we were there.

It really slows a hound down!

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and winery lovers…Grandma, Daisy Lynn and I had no idea that we had this treasure right in our own back yard.  Camp Springs, Kentucky has all the charm of Nappa Valley, CA albeit smaller.  I cannot tell you howl sweet and special this town is.  Camp Springs is only 15 minutes from our front door to this front door…

It was the perfect day for wine tastings.  This winery is named Camp Springs Winery.

They did not allow Daisy Lynn in the tasting room but we had the best seat right on the front porch.

Our Mayor loves a bit of wine tasting herself.  She actually goes crazy for it but she only gets a few licks off of our fingers.

“Just one more lick Mommy??? Please???”

Grandma and I bought a bottle of Blueberry Wine for my brother-in-law for his birthday.  The blueberries were grown locally by a member of the family who has a horticulture degree from University of Kentucky.  Can you say delicious?

Then it was off to our next stop, Stonebrook Winery also in Camp Springs. This was about 10 minutes down the road, around many country corners, and down the gorgeous back roads of Northern Kentucky.

In a few weeks, this road will be in full bloom with fall color and I think we will be needing another tasting!

This was cute!  Love the horse parking sign! This winery also has horse drawn carriages around the winery.

Whoever does the gardening in the front is beyond talented and whimsical.  This is the entrance to the winery…sigh…

The people who live and breathe Stonebrook Winery are beyond a delight.  The man who owns the winery came in the tasting room and poured us our wine, after he was finished crushing the grapes!  I asked him what his favorite was and then promptly bought a bottle for my brother in law.  Wow was it ever delicious.  Blackberry Black Knight!  18% proof!  Need I say more?

Camp Springs, KY – we love ya!

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Cat’s Movie Pics Lovers…I cannot remember the last time I posted a movie pic!  I have so many it is crazy for sure.  I thought I would post this one and try to get back into reporting on great movies.

I really loved Walter Mitty.  It is playing on HBO on demand right now.  I had Daisy Lynn all tucked in with Emma’s gully blanket.

I actually bought the ending credits song from ITunes.  Really pretty!

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Late Birthday present lovers…Well, better late than never when a hound turns 12 years old!  What Daisy Lynn and I did was pick out one of Chaps favorite teddy bears and rub it all over her.  That way Colby Chaps could have a gift from his late Daddy, Grandma (me) and smell Daisy Lynn his KY kissin’ cousin!

It was a fun package for our Colby Chaps!  We also added some extra special treats for the birthday boy!

He sure looks happy!

Paul Newman went to the bridge and has left a huge hole in lots of hearts.  He was a super star and the light of his Mom, Karen’s life…
