Bassethoundtown called to action!
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and action lovers…Early this evening my door bell rang and it was our local Animal Control Office!!! My heart jumped as she asked me if I knew if the Alessandro hound might be missing and at large. ABBY??? Don’t worry Abby is fine, it was not her but she fit the “profile”.
Whew…But at that time we did not know. I urgently called Abby’s Mommy, Judy. She was a few towns away. The ACO told me that the Police had been over to her home and only saw Bumper! I told Judy I would rush over…I know how to get in in case of emergency. Sure came in handy tonight!
I saw Bumper but not Abby!!!
She almost gave me a heart attack. She was laying in a dark hallway…
EXTRA TREATS FOR EVERYONE!!!
I tucked them back in and made the rounds around bassethoundtown. All hounds matching the description were accounted for.
If I had to guess it would be a hound that lives a few streets over. He tends to get out a fair amount. I drove by the home and he was in the front yard which has an electric fence. I heard him howling before I actually say himz.
I am still working the case. I thought it was cool that the ACO came over to bassethoundtown and the Police had gone to Judy’s home. Pretty cool to live in such a small and caring town.
Daisy Lynn was NOT waiting patiently!
More doing our part later…Cat, Daisy Lynn (Chaps and Emma ATB guiding Mommy…)
I cannot thank you enough for coming over to check on Abby and be sure she was ok and accounted for. We were out to dinner with two grandkids – we sat in Bob Evans parking lot until we heard that Abby was with you. Granddaughter Morgan was on the phone with her mom – my daughter giving her a play by play account of Abby. It is really cool that the ACO and the police in our small town care so much to come and check on a lost dog. I am very thankful this week that Abby and Bumper are here to celebrate Thanksgiving with us!! Bumper and Abby love Aunt Cat and her visits and treats!!
You and Mayor Daisy run a tight ship. Thanks for being so thoughtful and helpful.
Keep us posted.
My goodness! What a week in BHT!! A concern that dear Abby was missing and then the Mayor gets out during a wind storm. Too much anxiety. So glad all BHT hounds are safe and accounted for.
