Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Cookie Jar Lovers…I was on Facebook over the weekend.  There is a page I follow called Daily Drool the facebook addition.  There is also the Daily Drool from the e-mail list thing.  That was started in the mid to late 1990s I believe.  I joined and became one of the first 10 folks on that list.  I had Natalie at the time.  Now I think there are thousands.  On the facebook page I think there are 7 thousandish folks.  Wow –

Anyway, everyone was going nuts over a basset hound cookie jar that was introduced at WalMart and the crowd goes wild!  It explodes into a shopping frenzy!

So – not to be out done by the other cookie jar (no offense to those who like it better) the Mayor had to show off herz!

It was a gift to Emma and Chaps from Colby Chaps a few years ago.

We adore and treasure it!

Guess what?  There are also matching mugs!

Totally cute!

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and New Snood Line Lovers…

It as been a long time comin’ but we are now in snood mode.  Grandma and I bought this fabric about a decade ago in anticipation of designing snoods.

It is stretch velvet with a blast of rainbow colors.  Just look at the little fairy sprinkling dust on a DAISY!

I loved it a decade ago and now it has special meaning…

And would you just look at the overwhelming, darling, adorable Daisy Lynn modeling a test run…

I cannot wait to get our new line up and running.  This is going to be fun!

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Sunday Lovers…I was just tooling around the town, enjoying my Sunday and walked into the living room…

What did I see?

A basset hound smiling at me!

“Wanna take a nap Mommy?”

“OK tuck in and then we will plan lunch!”

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Annabelle lovers…Annie for short, just like her little legs.  OMDog…it was a whirlwind day for sure.  Judy and her husband Rick set out for their journey to West Virgina at 6:00am yesterday.  I was so excited I woke up at 5:57am.  I was in charge of letting current bassethoundtown resident, Abby out for some potty breaks.

Extra treats were in order for sure!

Even though our Mayor was very sleepy and in need of her after dinner nap she had official duties to attend to.  She was going to present Annie with her official bassethoundtown walking club badge and DRUM ROLL PLEASE…

A KEY TO THE TOWN AND PROCLAIM AUGUST 28TH ANNIE DAY!

Here is a closer look…She thought a little shut-eye was in order before the puppy came and boy was she right!

Here she is…our Annie – in all of her glory!

I put the puppy down and she makes a mad dash to the Mayor!

The Mayor is not quite sure of what is happening!  She seems a bit out of sorts as Annie takes chase!

Finally, the Mayor gets in a few good whiffs…Annie was going for that lace ear!

I don’t think that Daisy Lynn has ever been around a puppy this little that she remembers at least…

So now it is time for the key ceremony…

“Hey kiddo welcome to the town and here is your key! See you at the next walk.  There are wieners served on silver platters!  Stick with me and I will show you the way!”

The Mayor in all of her infinite wisdom and generosity instructed Annie to go belly up!  She thought it would be icing on the cake of  life to receive, perhaps her first belly rub from her Mom (me)…

Ahhhhhhhhh…let the journey begin…

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and every day is national dog day lovers…

Everyday is dog day in bassethoundtown and the Mayor Daisy Lynn never lets us forget it!  That being said…

I had lunch with my dear friend Judy today.  We were in high anticipation mode for her new arrival!  Her baby girl pup will be an official resident by Friday evening.  We had a great time today – so much fun.  I saw all the new puppy toys and got to pamper Abby whom I adore.

Judy sent me home with a huge chunk of pineapple angel food cake.  OMDOG in heaven (nod to Bumper;)

Judy…Judy…Judy…you have to tell the residents about this cake!

Talk about national dog day!

The Mayor went all white eyed!

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Stuffed Lovers…OMDog!!!  It took most of the day off and on but this meal will stuff you!

These over stuffed peppers are not only delicious but sooooo pretty.  Make sure to switch out the colorful lids to add extra flair to your dinner!

Next up…

Stuffed scallon, sour cream and onion cheese potatoes!

This was a labor of stuffed love!  OMDog!

Then it all went in the oven…

Of course our Mayor got a few tasty tid bits.  I gave her some hamburger and a tiny bit of cheese but herz got a touch of a delicate stomach so we kept her on her normal meal…

Complete with her bump bowl!  Believe you me, she was stuffed as well.

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and facebook find of the day lovers…I was sniffing around over on facebook and ran across this illustration…Can you believe howl cute it is?

I kept it really big so you can click on it and see all the details.  The mice are hitching a ride.  Very talented artist but I do not understand the post…

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Young Mayor Lovers…Bless her heart she is such a good girl.

Always checking on her residents…

Today she arrived early to work and the doors were still locked.

So she went went down the street to see if the local church was all in order…

They appeared to know what they were doing…

Then it was back home to harvest the town crop!

It’s all in a days work…

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and new resident lovers!  No, the Mayor is not getting a new sister but she is welcoming a new resident who will arrive in several weeks.

This little girl is going to be the new family member at the Alessandro home!  She will join Judy, Rick and her new older sister Abby.

She is just a beauty and I do believe that the family is mulling over a few names.  I will let Judy announce that when they decide.

For now we can call her delicious!

This fine fellow is spending himz day at the beach somewhere in Europe!  Himz a facebook friend so I really don’t know because the post is in German…

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh cool, cool sea water!  I can smell the salty wet hound from here!

Speaking of “here” this is a pretty cool place to be as well…

Right in ole bassethoundtown!  Yes, we have our own tropical flare right down the street from us!  LOL!
