So cute and soooooo cold!

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and sooooo cute lovers…I was on facebook last night and saw this picture that I had to share.  A woman was telling the group (I think it was the Daily Drool facebook page), that her hound went out to potty and had trouble.  His back legs started to cripple from the cold and snow.  So she brought him in and put socks on his feet and his ears!

Can you believe howl cute the sock ear warmers are?  Now they most likely won’t stay in place like a warm snood will but it sure served the purpose for this cold soul.

Today the temperature is dropping in Bassethoundtown and I have been putting on this design of snood for Mayor Daisy Lynn.  It is warm and washable!

Please click the link and read up on it~

THE O’HARA SNOOD

More loving warm and dry ears later…Cat, Daisy Lynn (Chaps and Emma ATB loving the attention to detail designed into this snood!)

Hi Monnie – She is not a big fan of the snow. She runs right in and lays down in front of “her” heater vent. She also has her own mini down comforter that she loves. We call it her winter gully! LOL

The Grandma is right. Bassets need to have their ears protected in winter weather. This snood is amazingly soft and the velvet is thick and lush! So stylish and unique!

Well, in this type of weather it is really not a question of if the hound likes a snood it is a question of frost bite. Actually, it is not just bassets buts all dogs need their head protected from the cold. If you wear a hat they should has well. I also keep one in the car in our winter emergency box just in case we have to walk any distance due to a break down or stand still on the streets. I also keep a coat and boots for Daisy Lynn as well as treats and food. I have an entire emergency kit for Mom and I as well. Better safe than sorry…Warm ears are safe ears…

Looking at this post again. Did you see that he’s got socks on his feet too?
