Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Getting Back to the Beach Lovers.  It was sheeting, howling rain when we left Charleston, SC for Atlantic Beach, NC.  OMDOG – OMDOG!!!  This was my only miscalculation of the trip and boy was it a doozie!!!  I had estimated our travel time at 2.5 hours but I had the wrong STATE!!!  I had the right city but the dogforsaken wrong state.  Instead of driving 2.5 hours we had about 7 hours ahead of us.  Booooooooo on me!!!  Or I should say Boo Who!!! Yes, my soul was crying about as hard as the rain but we pushed on and so glad we did.  Atlantic Beach, NC turns out to be one of our favorite beach towns and as a matter of fact we went back this summer for a week of just staring at the beach/ocean.  I wonder if it will take me a year or more to blog about it?  Hope not.

We had so much fun…BOTH TIMES!!!

Well worth the extra drive time for sure…

We stayed at the DoubleTree aka free cookie/dog friendly hotel and immediately fell in love with the quaintness of the city.

So far it has remained pretty much a quite, cute, clean beach town but the giant rental homes are certainly marching up and down the Emerald Isle.  One of the main perks to Atlantic Beach is, for now, it is dog friendly.

Here we are walking down the beach to do a photo shoot of the Lily Book.  We have a few shops to visit to market the book.

Daisy Lynn seemed to do pretty good on the sand and with a little bit of water on her paws but she is not a huge fan of walking on the beach.

Yep, I could move bassethoundtown to Atlantic Beach, NC.  No problem…

We headed to Molly’s Beachside Bar and Grill just in time for happy hour…

Our stay at Atlantic Beach, NC – NORTH CAROLINA!  HAHAHA – was way too short just like the legs of basset hound…

But for now we pack up and head to the next adventure…
