Chaps has conjunctivitis, same as before….

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and checking on Chaps lovers…..

Well, Chaps has conjunctivitis. He actually has it in both eyes but his left eye is the worst. We were given some eye ointment. Both kids got their nails clipped.

But something odd happened when we got to the doctor’s office. There were a lot of dogs barking and it really scared Emma. Poor girl probably knew what they were barking about and they were probably scared.

Emma actually climbed into Grandma’s lap!!!!

The poor girl was scared. She get’s a bit freaked out at the vet but she has never crawled up on Grandma’s lap!

We got out of there as fast as we could!

I have decided to keep better records of these things. Now I know that Chaps gets conjunctivitis on occasion.

I also know that Emma can understand what other barking dogs are saying.

More trying to keep away for the doctor’s office later….Cat, Chaps and Emma

P.S. YES! One large order of French Fries please!

You know that feeling when WE go to the doctor and you’re really not that thrilled with touching stuff in the waiting room? That is probably what Emma thought “Let me up there in your lap where I know what is what!” Glad the Mayor got stuff to make him feel better. Did the vet prescribe the fries?!? LOL (I know they always make me feel better!LOL)

That’s what Rugs just got over! Remember? What Rugs did was he would squint and his 3rd eyelid was up. The doc said their eyes retract and that eyelid comes up. They retract because it’s painful. I felt so bad. But he got some eye drops (Ophthalmic Drops + Dexameth) that cleared it up in 3 days. We kept putting it in there for 2 more. That’s when they discovered the little cyst he had on his eye then that’s why we sped up his teeth cleaning in order to take that cyct too. He’s doing great now. The mayor will be fine now that he has his french fries.

Everyone needs a grandma! So glad Emma has safe laps to climb into. Glad the Mayor got his medicine and fries. I think all of you should take the rest of the week off to dote on the Mayor and meet his every need (guess that doesn’t really give you the week off, does it Cat?!)

Cat – so glad he is doing well. We do not need scares for awhile – some storm going on in basset hound town tonight complete with the sirens. Keep those hounds safe!

Judy – sirens just went off. I had to call Grandma. She was asleep and I had to give Chaps a pill. Lord. Wild night! Tornado warning! Over now!

    Poor Chaps and Emma,

It’s clear to see that Our Emma knows where the most safe and secure place to be is in Grandma’s lap.

I’m glad to hear that the Mayor is doing better and that this wasn’t more serious; but, I think the Mayor knows how important it is for him to take care of himself, so french fries, treats and belly rubs are definitely the watchwords for at least a week.
