Count down to the Olympics!

August 2nd, 2008 - 10:10 am KY Time

Howllo Fellow Hound and, well, off topic lovers: This is the first of several photos I will bring to you leading up to and during the Olympics. I was fortunate enough to travel to Hong Kong and all over China in 1993 with my parents. This first photo is of us and the Tian Tan Buddha.

It was finished the year we visited. Later that day we had “lunch” at a small monastery.

More count down moments later….Cat, Chaps and Emma

P.S. I was able to travel because I did not have bassets yet! After bassets, no travel! My vacation is my hounds! Slurp!

Not to be a sour grape but the inhumane treatment and ongoing torture of the Tibetan people will keep me from watching the Olympics.

That is your absolute right Kip! Good for you. Each to their own!

On the other hand, I feel that the Olympics are meant not to be political. The kids are so looking forward to it. Kids everywhere.

You are right Cat. This has brought attention to the plight of the Tibetan people. so I guess it is good China got the games.
This is the bestest site ever! Being on bassethoundtown is much better than watching the Olympics anyway!
    Love ya,
    Kip
