Our very own Trooper graces the cover of Basset Buddies Rescue of TX calendar!
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and lovers of Trooper! I just love Trooper. Trooper is actually my hero. OMD he has come so far. Do the residents remember himz? If you want to read about Trooper just put his name in the search area on the blog and about 10 posts will come up.
We all worked really hard to raise money for his medical care. This guy really touched us all. Now Trooper is giving back and is gracing the cover of the 2011 Basset Buddies Rescue of TX Calendar!
Trooper just sent me a calendar and each month is better than the next.

I was struck by a picture on BBTX. I am not sure who this couple is but it kinda choked me up…..
I asked Cindy Doyle, resident and fellow basset hound rescuer in this area to update us if she can. If you buy a calendar these kids will benefit.

OH MY DOG-I love Trooper too. I’m happy to say that I hardly recognized him in his calendar picture. I will be purchasing a calendar soon.
I cannot believe the difference in him. He absolutely looks wonderful and the best part is that he can now enjoy being a basset and he is not in pain. This is truly a great success story!
Cat, remember Gabe the Basset I rescued and took to a couple in Houston…..well they also took the tri-colored Basset in the couple photo above. He had a hard road to recovery, mostly battling skin problems and heartworms, but he is doing great now and loves his new brother Gabe. His name is now Clyde and he is loved by Carmen Dillion. I will send you a photo of them both in an email.
Oh, and the Red and White…..I don’t know who he went too, but he was adopted before Clyde went to Houston…..I guess it was a good thing because Carmen wanted two, and that is where Gabe came in!
Audra! That is soooooooo cool. That picture tore me up. They looked so sad. I cannot wait to post some of the pictures you sent. They are soooooooooooooooo fantastic!

These guys came in to BBRTX shortly after I adopted Oz and Harriet and wasn’t as active in the rescue at the time. But I do remember them. As Audra said, they have good forever homes now.
