Bella, Emma’s sister, has passed….
Howllo fellow basset hound and sad news haters…..
Bella, Emma’s sister did not make it. Bella died from cardiac arrest after her surgery to remove a cancerous thyroid tumor. Bella, was only 6 years old and was the light of her family’s life.
Bella was Emma’s sister.
We loved her.
We hold her family in our hearts
(((((((Lyn and family))))))))))
They are crushed beyond belief. 6 is way too young….
We love our family…..
More lighting our candles later…….Cat, Chaps and Emma
P.S. Out of 4 girls in this BoBac litter Emma is the only one alive at 6 years old and she is blind. I know one of the 2 boys is blind. This is not right! I am furious!
Lyn & Family…..our deepest sympathy is with you and your family. Six is way too young to lose one of our babies. I know all too well, losing my Jake at 6 years old due to a tumor in his mouth that was cancer. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers.
Poor Bella. I can’t stop thinking about her family. I think Emma knows because last night she cuddled up to me extra tight.
Sigh…….
Poor sweet darling:(!! I will light my special Bridge candle in her memory and to help guide her way…Extra special hugs to Emma, and to the Mayor…mournful aroooooooos,
Mary, Harley, Biggs and Leo
we will keep the family in our prayers.
John, Debra and Belle
I have a hard time grasping the fact that out of 4 girls Emma is the only one left in only 6 years.
Bella’s family is in our hearts and our prayers.
The Doyle’s.
Poor Bella, so many of the hounds I know at Basset Buddies and the Daily Drool have gone to the bridge. I am so sorry for Bella and her family.

I’m so sorry for your lost of your beloved Bella. I’m know what you are going through, I lost my sweet little Richard, Christmas Eve. I rescued him a year and eight months ago. We think he was about seven years old. No matter how old they are, it’s always to soon to lose them. We wll keep you in our prayers.
Love, Charlene, Glenn, Baley & Clancy
So very sad, she looked to be a grand girl, Prayers to her family, and very disturbing about all the problems in that one litter. It is never easy to lose a beloved pet. They always are so much more than we think they will be when we first bring them home.
so very sad..my deepest sympathies to you…today is also the 1 yr mark of stephen huneck’s passing..so i am sure she will be greeted by a huge party at the buffet…
Wow, Lois! Very nice of you to mention that about Stephen Huneck. I had a talk with my Dad last night and told him to find her via the Washington State gate. I told him that he can’t miss her. She looks just like Emma with eyes! My Dad is going to be known as the basset man in heaven. When he was the basset man on earth he always had pockets full of treats. He was so loved by the hounds.

What nice comments from everyone. I just kept thinking of Bella all day. Then I would look at Shimlette and huge her a bit tighter. At one point she yelped a little bit. I guess I squeezed her a bit too tight. YIKES! Bella’s Mommy sent me a few more pictures of her sweet belly bell today. I will post them later tonight. Spittin’ image of our Shimlette!

This is just terrible – hugs and drool to Emma from Bumper and Abby. It is just so hard to believe that so many dogs have passed from this very young litter. Are Emma’s parents still alive and do they have health issues? I cannot imagine losing one of my babies – this is just not right. My thoughts are with Bella’s family.
Hey Judy – I have no idea about Titan of BoBac but I am pretty sure the Mom is still alive. The breeding of these 2 was a heath nightmare. The 2 also had another breeding that produced 3 pups.
Titan and Dawn of BoBac produced 2 litters that I know of.
I was shocked that they were bred again after they knew that at least Emma’s eye examination was unhealthy. They also lost a pup shortly after birth to heart disease and one of the pups was lame. Why would you breed that pair again? Just unconscionable.

We love you,
Kip, Gus, Bonnie and Charlie Bear
Thank you all very much for your kind expressions of sympathy. We sincerely appreciate your thoughts and prayers. We cannot express in words how much we love and now miss our dear sweet Bella. However, we are comforted to know that Bella is with her sisters now, and our girls, Jessica, Penny, Angel, and Bella, will all take very good care of one another. We have loving memories of Bella, and she as well as all of our girls will live in our hearts forever.
With much gratitude,
Lyn Saucier and Family
So Sorry 6 years old is way to young our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Bella
I’m very sorry to hear about Bella. 🙁 My thoughts go out to all who knew and loved her.
Poor girl. My heart goes out to her human family.
6 years old is far too young for a Basset.
