Susan Randolph is in the ICU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

August 6th, 2008 - 5:05 pm KY Time

Howllo Fellow Hound and Susan Randolph Lovers and who isn’t one of those?

Our Susan (one of the MOD SQUAD for the Daily Drool) is in the ICU. Susan, (Mom to Daisy and Toby) is recovering after emergency surgery.

She is going to be fine!!!!! She collapsed at work yesterday and was diagnosed with a brain aneurysm. She had surgery late yesterday and is in the ICU. She could be in the ICU for a week or more. I did speak with her briefly. She is very tired and groggy. I probably should have not bothered her, but the nurse at the desk said it would be OK for a few minutes. I was actually calling to get her address so we can all send her cards. She cannot have flowers. I will keep everyone posted. Keep her in your thoughts. Send healing drool for her.

Oh, one more thing. Many of you may know Susan as the gal who wrote and compiled:

Her Mom and Dad are watching Daisy and Toby.

More Susan Updates Later…Cat, Chaps and Emma

SEND CARDS AND NON FLOWER ITEMS TO:

I only know Susan from the Daily Drool, and Christmas card exchanges, but when I read she was in the ICU, I felt as if one of my family was in there and had this happen. She is such a special person and we all care about her very much here, all the hounds are of course sending healing drool, and get well cards with their houndie smiles. I hope we can all help her recover quickly …… Debbie and the Masterpiece Bassets

How frightening for Susan! I know her as well–when she lived in Delaware I went to her home for a fundraising event for Noah’s Wish, just one of the animal organizations she volunteers tirelessly for…I’ve met her several times and she is a super person. Alas, I never met her houndies, Toby and Daisy. She used to work, as I did, for Winterthur Museum before she moved to VA and I’ve let her friends there know. All paws crossed, drool flowing and many prayers that she recovers quickly.

We’re sending buckets and buckets of drool to Susan. The poor people in ICU won’t know what it hitting them. I’ve never had the pleasure of meeting Susan, but know she does great work for the hounds.

GET WELL QUICKLY, SUSAN, YOU ARE NEEDED.

And thank you, Cat, as always for keeping us updated on things that matter!

Susan is without a doubt the most loving and giving person I have ever had the pleasure of volunteering with. She works tirelessly not only on behalf of the homeless hounds of the world but all in need. I am thrilled to hear that she is recovering and her prognosis is so positive. We have her on our prayer list and the hounds are making drool to sling as fast as is possible. Get well soon Susan.
