An old guy needs his bones warmed!
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and old guys needing their bones warmed lovers!
Well, these pictures may seem the same you have seen before but they have a new meaning.
Today, I was in my office and missing Chaps. I went looking for himz!
See that heat vent to the right of this picture? Well, I found the Mayor laying next to it. Not only was he laying next to this vent but to the left of this picture is another vent.
You can’t see it, but it is there. He had heat on both sides. Himz slowly got up because I was trying to take a picture.
Some times an old guy needs his bones warmed. I can tell he needs heat a bit more now that he is getting older. He even lets me cover himz up at night.
I love that I can do that for himz.
I am horrified that some dogs live outside. I just for the life of me cannot fathom that.
More loving that we can and we do try to help other needy hounds…..Cat, Chaps, Emma and the residents!
Houndies need inside homes, they love the warmth. Chaps looks like he is bowing in that photo!
No hounds outside! We agree Debbie!
They are so smart. Mine seem to be able to find the coolest spots in the summer. We have a vent in our hallway and I find Jethro sprawled out on his back with legs in the air all the time.
I can’t imagine hounds outside either. Some dogs don’t know what it’s like to live inside. Too sad.
I think Bassets, even though they were bred for hunting, are basically house dogs. They enjoy the comforts of being inside. They do like to come in from a good gallup in the snow or accross a field.
Slinky’s favorite place to warm herself is to lay by the balcony window with the sun shinning bright.
