Facebook Obsession?

February 24th, 2011 - 11:11 pm KY Time

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Facebook Obsession Lovers? Well, I am not one of those. Are you? I just watched a documentary about the fb obsession. I must admit that I am obsessed with my blog. I am not obsessed with fb. Can I get some feed back here?

Is a blog different than facebook?

Here is Natalie, my first basset. I found her in the pound back in 1995. She passed of bloat in 1996.

I blogged about her back in 2006 when I learned about blogs. When did facebook start?

Natalie

Just wondering…

More loving my Natalie later….Cat, Chaps and Emma

FB started at Harvard in 2004. I started blogging in 2007. Recently I tried Facebook, found it pointless, so I gave it up. Love blogging, and love BHT! If it weren’t for blogging (and a couple of sussex spaniels), we would never have found each other!

We love your blog! FB doesn’t let you go into detail like blogging does. I had a blog and have been planning on starting one again to share my pups and quilts with the world. Keep blogging.

I saw the same program on CNBC, but I am NOT a facebook person. I visit maybe once a week, but I prefer chat rooms like the Daily Drool and I so proud to be a resident of Basset Hound Town. Basset Hound Town is the best place to live or just hang out.

    Cat,

Natalie was such a beautiful Houndette!

I don’t Facebook either, so have no opinion.

OM – OK, 2004. I think that was in the documentary but I must have missed it. What I like about fb are the pictures of basset hounds. I really love all of them. Oh……thanks for the compliment on BHT. I love it too and I love our community. It really is so much fun.

It is so true about the Sussex! I googled Sussex blogs the night Stump won the Westminster show a few years back and found you! Fast Friends Forever! FFF!

Mary, Natalie was sooooooo sweet. She was my first addiction to the hound world!

Deb, look forward to reading your blog. Let me know when you have it up! I agree, blogging lets us share more than fb!

Hey Debbie! Thanks for the compliment and the feedback. Very interesting that I see that fb is not an obsession in bassethoundtown so far. Very interesting. Thanks guys…..

I signed up for facebook just to read others. I have nothing in my facebook and never look at it. But I LOVE BASSET HOUND TOWN! It keeps me entertained and I always look forward to seeing what’s going on.

    Thanks Cat!

I basically joined Facebook to keep in touch with a couple friends from Toronto, and then it turned into this whole other basset world. I’m not obsessed with it in the least, but it is fun to see people’s basset pictures.

Even though I don’t comment much, I do love reading your blog! Guess I’m just one of those creepy lurker types. LOL

Mary – There is no such thing as a creepy lurker in basset hound town! You are too funny. I think most folks just like to dip in and see what is going on and I love it. My hope is that our town is a fun place to call our own. You can leave a comment or just take a walk! hehehehe
