Let’s run away, join the circus, and eat ice cream every day;)
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound, circus, and ice cream lovers!
Well, we are not about to run away but we can do all of the above for at least a day and what a special day it has been! We did all of the above!
We ran away to the circus!
I wanted to see if I could get Chaps a job jumping through fire hoops and Emma a job riding on the back of a white stallion. I could sell tickets and wear my new sparkly boots!
Turns out Cirque Du Soleil is set up at Coney Island Amusement Park.
Tonight is their opening night for OVO.
As we were running errands yesterday I saw the big top going up so we ventured back over today for a look see! We were hoping to find a few performers practicing but no such luck.
Coney Island is a magical place for kids and kids at heart in this area. I remember going as a kid for my birthday and today Emma went for hers! See the Python roller coaster in the background? Julian, my nephew loves it!
What is better than than circus dreams?
ICE CREAM!
We set out for the Sweet Tooth Sweet Shop which is in a town on our way home!
Birthday girls go first with a vanilla cone!
OH MY DOG…that is good stuff! Emma took a huge chunk off the top!
“GOT ICE CREAM?”
The Mayor jumps in but is more dainty about it!
Grandma steps in with the rest of her strawberry cone! Remember, pink is the birthday girl’s signature color!
Emma takes another huge chomp off the top but the Mayor is not so sure about strawberry.
Look at his face! Can you even believe it? Look at that hunk in Emma’s mouth!
No time to waste. A decision must be made with haste so there is no waste!
Vanilla for the Mayor and Strawberry for the birthday girl!
“You done with that cone big boy? Don’t you have some fire hoops to jump through?”
“Get off your high white horse Emma….The vanilla is mine all mine!”
