Spot of tea anyone?

April 29th, 2011 - 3:03 am KY Time

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Royal Wedding Lovers! We are sooooooooo excited and have been waiting for this morning since the announcement of the engagement! We have been up since 2:00am! Of course, being a foreign dignitary, the Mayor was invited. I just caught a glimpse of him on his way to the Abby with the Queen!

The Mayor knew what he was wearing! His beautiful red coat!

We will be going upstairs for a Royal Egg McMuffin and a split of champagne shortly!

More loving pomp and circumstance later…..Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma

It has been simply beautiful. Nice to see a Prince that appears to actually love his Princess. Our society needs more pomp and circumstance.

    Awaiting “the kiss”.

Absolutely brilliant! Chaps looks pawsitively regal next to HRM. What an occasion, eh? I must confess, I shed a tear…

I am delighted that this is a love match and not one of duty:)

    Two kisses! Fantastic.

How many kisses did HRH Chaps receive?

Love that they have left Buckingham Palace in an open convertible, with William driving and streamers and balloons tied to the car. How ordinarily special! Love it!

Cat-I’m with you – I love these occassions. I was up at 2:30 am (my time) and watched the whole thing. I saw the Mayor. I hope he heard me holler for him thru my TV. It was a beautiful wedding. I hope we get our happily ever after – the world sure could use it.

I haven’t been able to watch too much of the event so far, but I will be checking YouTube throughout the day. I am glad that William wore such a striking uniform instead of just a morning suit.

I haven’t seen much of Kate’s wedding dress yet either.

I think the Mayor looks absolutely dashing, I am sure Prince William is quite jealous of his suave and cool nature; along with his natural handsomeness.

Maureen – William may very well be jealous of our Mayor but both boys were absolutely dashing in their red coats.

Kate’s dress is absolutely stunning. She is such a class act. She was carrying a bouquet of Sweet William. How very sweet INDEED!

Candy – It was absolutely beautiful. Grandma and I had so much fun. We both cried during the vows. The music was beautiful!

OneMom, I loved the 2 kisses. Chaps received 2 dozen at least. I was calling him His Royal Hiney…..

Mary – we shed a few tears as well. I heard that a lip reader saw William say to Kate’s Dad, when they arrived at the alter, “Just a small family affair, huh?” Her Dad smiled and Kate giggled…..

Lois – she was certainly there. William made sure of it!

OneMom I totally agree. Bring on more pomp and circumstance. I totally thought you were kidding about the top down! I just saw that on TV! I fell asleep and missed that! Howl totally pawsome was that?

  17. April 29th, 2011 | 12:54 pm

Nope, I wasn’t kidding. I thought that was so cool seeing them in that little convertible, just the two of them, with William driving. I believe that was the first time I saw a Royal driving themselves anywhere. A wonderful conclusion to the day. The cherry on top of the sundae! (it appeared to be just a two-seater though, so the Mayor was not with them).

diana may not have been perfect but you know she did a good job with the boys…he showed that today by taking that car ride…

& by showing that family life was important…going to her house for dinners & knowing that having a REAL family was what he needed…

probably made charles & camilla cringe but deep inside i think the queen was smiling…because i think she knew diana was a good person..maybe to spirited & young for the royalty but a good person…her sons are good

I didn’t know about the bouquet of Sweet William! {sigh}..she really loves her prince! Pawsome gal…They wanted in lieu of gifts donations to their favorite charities. Good on them! (I wonder if there are animal rescues in there?) In any event, apparently they raised many, many millions as a result of that request!

I have heard that after their honeymoon William is returning to the RAF. They have turned down a big house with servants and all the trappings. I think this is a good idea, and I hope the press will allow them some privacy and time to themselves.

I think a marriage involving the press and papparatzi is a doomed marriage.

Yes Mary, they have animal welfare interest in Africa.
