Our Darling Bailey has walked over the rainbow bridge…
UPDATE – FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO SAW THE VIDEO LAST NIGHT PLEASE WATCH AGAIN. I HAVE MADE SOME ADDITIONS. IT CAME OUT SO MUCH BETTER. ONLY THE BEST FOR OUR BAILEY BUG!
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Bailey McCarty Lovers. Bailey is not only a resident of Basset Hound Town but Bailey is family. Bailey was Colby Chaps’ cousin and lived with Colby Chaps’ Grandma and Grandpa, Glenn and Charlene.
Darling Bailey left us on June 21st, 2011. Bailey was such a huge presence and the hole he left behind is gigantic.
Audra, (Colby Chaps Mom) sent me this loving tribute she wrote for Bailey….
“I wish you could of known Bailey…..He was almost solid Red when my mom picked him up from Florida — the biggest boy in the Litter. He loved life, loved his brother Clancy, loved to play, eating was his passion and his soul mate was his Mama. He never wanted for anything, his backyard was heavenly and he received love in abundance from everyone. His paws were as big as the palm of your hand and as he aged the Red faded from his fur but his sweet disposition only grew stronger. He was my big Bailey Bug — My Big Teddy Bear and I will forever remember him……another piece of my heart has been taken today.
RIP Bailey Bug”
What a large and loving soul. He will be dearly missed by all that knew himz…
I made this video tribute in his honor. Rest dear boy. You made this crazy earth a better place……
More missing Bailey later….Cat, Chaps and Emma

Our condolences to all who have lost their precious babies recently. Hold on to all the wonderful memories you have of your best friend and someday a new best friend will find a way into your heart. Hugs to Bailey and Abraham’s families as they now run and play painfree over the bridge!
What a beautiful video tribute you made for Bailey, Cat. As usual, the tears are streaming down my cheekies. Our hearts and prayers go out to the families of Bailey and Abraham. I am sure my Bonnie will guide them to the Basset buffet.
The world gets a little darker each time we lose a precious furbaby but lightens up when a precious memory makes us smile.
I am sad. Though I only knew him threw pictures, Bailey was one of the most beautiful bassets I have ever seen … and he looked wonderful smooshy and sweet too. I’m sorry Charlene and Glenn for this loss of your dear Bailey.

On my goodness, what a beautiful tribute and memorial you did for my boy, but I could hardly read it for all the tears streaming down my face. I know he’s with Grandpa now, jumping, playing and having a good time, but his mama and brother sure do miss him. But we can rest asure that all of us that have lost our sweet boys and girls, that one day we will see them again. Cat, thanks again for taking the time to do this for my Bailey Bug.
Love you lots,
Glenn, Charlene & Clancy
Thank you for sharing this tribute. I always dread the news of a basset passing. Enjoy all of the other basset company at the bridge boy.
What a beautiful video. You can tell that Bailey was deeply loved and cared for, and you can tell Bailey brought a lot of love and happiness into everyones life.
Cat, that was so beautiful. What a sweet soul Bailey is. You can just see it in him. So very handsome. Our hearts go out to Baileys loving family.
Until you meet again,

That video was beautiful. I’m sitting here crying too. Bailey was very loved and had a great life. As sad as it is to lose a hound, it’s always so nice to see how much they were loved and how much love they gave while they were here.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Bailey’s family as they adjust to his loss.
Thanks everyone for the heart felt comments. I am sure Bailey’s family really appreciate them…..
