Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and loving howl loud the internet speaks lovers…..

Yesterday was Julian’s 14th birthday. Grandma and I were watching his dogs while they were on a mini trip to celebrate the occasion.

Romeo was relaxing with Grandma….

I was sitting across from them on my lap top. I was looking for a coupon to the Green Derby restaurant. This is a place that Grandpa loved and we always celebrated there. Grandma and I go there to be close to Grandpa. Anyone who has read this blog for very long will probably remember that.

So, I googled Green Derby and all of those review websites came up first. That drives me crazy. So, I clicked on a picture that I thought would take me to the Green Derby Website and I saw this.

UrbanSpoon

I looked at that tiny picture. I thought that tiny picture looked like Grandpa. Can you even believe it? I clicked on the larger version and I could not believe my eyes.

That is Grandpa in the pink shirt. My jaw dropped and I looked at Grandma and I said,

“you are not going to believe this.”

We both just sat and had a moment. Grandma totally agreed with me even before I zoomed to 100%.

I decided to e-mail the reviewer to see if she had any more information.

She got right back with us…..

“Hi,
The Green Derby photo on Urbanspoon is the only one that I took that day. It was taken a couple of years ago – before the Hosea family bought the restaurant. I’ve attached a copy of the photo for you. I re-size all of my photos and do not keep the original, unaltered photos, so I apologize that it cannot be made larger.

Best to you,
VO”

Yes, VO (VeggieOption) Best to you as well.

Julian Wayne Lee has his Grandpa’s middle name. They both have JW as first and second.

Not to be left out, Chaps Wayne Rudert came in from getting caught in the sprinkler. So, far I can’t find a connection to Grandpa! LOL…

Isn’t that just too cool?

Grandma and I ate lunch today at the Green Derby….We toasted Julian Wayne and John Wayne, and brought home some fries for Chaps Wayne and Baby Emma….

More loving messages anyway we can get them later…..Cat, Chaps and Emma

Cat, that it just too cool for school!! I am a believer that our loved ones are around us and send us little messages from time to time:)

Shortly after my father died I was listening to the classical radio station in the car. My dad loved the movie “Bridge on the River Kwai”. As I was driving the “River Kwai March” song from the movie came on. I was bathed in such warmth..and I knew then that he was OK and letting me know:)

Listen with your heart! Grandpa is always around you and watching over you both:)

I often see the kids (one or the other) going to where Grandpa would sit in my place. He always sat in the same place. Sometimes I think he is visiting and giving them their favorite rye bread. I sit down across from him and give him all the latest family news. Hounds know everything……
