A bassethoundtown resident has been deployed to Afghanistan. Let’s keep him in our thoughts and prayers!

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Resident Lovers.  I received a special e-mail from Sandy recently.  She was asking me to keep her darling hubby in my thoughts and prayers as he was recently deployed to Afghanistan.  I am just like Chaps and I worry.

Sandy, Dan and I have an Emma!  Here is their Emma!

Sandy's Emma

Can you believe howl cute she it?  Emma lives with Sandy, Dan, Zoey and Hayley.

Her Mommy bought a blankee from the boutique and it was so funny.  She told me that after this picture Zoey came and grabbed the blankee with her teeth and walked away.  That is so funny!

Emmablankee

Sandy thinks she might keep the blankee for herself since her Emma, like my Emma, has a powerful sleep stink.  hehehehe

I vote keep the blankee for Sandy!

More keeping Dan in our thoughts and prayers later.  Thank you Dan.  Thank you very much!  Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma

Thanks Cat for those wonderful words. Don’t I just have the cutest family???? And my Emma is a pretty, pretty girl. She has come a long way since the Basset rescue here in Texas saved her! I will keep you all posted on how Dan is doing over there. Thanks again for your support- it means so much to me to know that people are thinking of us during this time.

What a beautiful couple, and of course their Emma makes everything more beautiful.

I never knew you sold blankets, I’m thinking of ordering one for a friend who is expecting her first baby in March. My friend has two Bassets, Doug and Cohen they will be first time uncles, and are starting to shop around. Also, any news on that Basset Hound purse?

Hey Cindy – that is really sweet. Maybe something small and light. Be creative if you want to send something. I will have the package in the mail by the 23rd of Sept just to give anyone time to add to the care package. Howl much fun!

Thank you everyone!!! My contact with Dan has been limited and I am missing him horribly… but I will keep you all posted on how he is doing.
Emma is cute! I went to Petco today and there was a man with a beautiful male basset. VERY thin. So of course I had to inquire- apparently the man’s daughter works for a vet and the owners brought this beautiful boy in to be put down. Just because they didn’t want him! But he is now in a furever, loving home. Thank Dog!

Yes, please keep us posted. I am getting his care package together. I have a feeling it will bring a huge smile to his face.

    Cat,

What kind of things could we send to you to add to a care pack for this man?

Maureen – Maybe something light so mailing is easier. Put your thinking cap on. It will be fun to come up with stuff. I am going to photograph the care package stuff before I send it! YES!

I’m thinking of some personal toiletries, maybe a book or perhaps a computer game if he has a computer. Maybe some snacks.

You guys are so sweet! Dan will absolutely love this. Here are some things that Dan loves to maybe help: he loves sailing and motorcycles so books or magazines about these are great. He is a computer game junkie, Maureen! His favorite snacks are Nutter Butters, twizzlers, and oatmeal raisin cookies. Dan doesn’t eat chocolate. (weird, I know- more for me!) And he would probably appreciate any of the typical toiletries. Toilet paper is apparently always a hit! He really loves coffee, but im not sure if he would have any way to brew it if we sent him some? This is all new to me! I am excited to hear your ideas, Cat!
