Grandma and Chaps chase the elusive and somewhat very smart fly!
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and not loving flies lovers…..OK, no one likes a fly in their home. It is just down right annoying. Unfortunately, they hang around the ladies room no matter howl hard we try to keep it spic and span. Sometimes an exceptionally smart fly will enter and mess with the Mayor. I have seen it on a number of occasions. The fly will chase the Mayor and then the Mayor will chase the fly and it becomes a real cat and mouse kind of game.
The flies always go to this corner where they know, I guess, that Chaps can’t get to them. It drives him crazy!
Some times the flies will even land on the Mayor and then take off to this corner. Crazy. So, Grandma came to the rescue to try and shoo the fly outside. They usually fly out if you open a door or a window.
We are having the most beautiful Indian Summer and of course flies love the hot weather.
I was outside taking a picture of my winter pansies which are just spectacular when the sun hits them.
Then I turned around and saw a fly swoop through the dog door!
I wonder if it is the same one?
My Mom wouldn’t hurt a fly but I know Chaps would. I have seen him catch a few in mid air with his big mouth. Shutter…..
More trying to shoo that fly later…..Cat, Chaps and Emma
BOL Fred (bloodhound) actually snagged this annoying one for me last night and I laughed so hard cause I never thought he could open and close his jowls that quick!
Flies drive Big Carl nuts until he retreats to his crate and hides 🙁
Stop on by for a visit

I wouldn’t underestimate our Mayor, I would bet on him against any annoying fly. Our Mayor is determined, persistent and shhhhhhhhh (stubborn).
