We have an ice situation in bassethoundtown!

January 22nd, 2012 - 9:09 pm KY Time

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Ice Situation not Lovers.  Wow, yesterday I could not let the kids out into the ladies room because all of the flat stones were covered in ice.  Thank Dog I have a back deck that is covered.  There is no way I could have made it out of the house.

Anyway, this morning, I let the kids out in the ladies room because it seemed OK…butt our baby Emma slipped and fell on her rump roast.  Poor girl.  I felt horrible.  I got Emma in and she was fine but the Mayor was very worried.

I was outside hot water hosing the area which I should of done in the first place!

Tonight thunderstorms are predicted.  Oh the joy of it all.

More not looking forward to that later….Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma

Poor Emma! Glad all is ok. Sorry to hear about the thunderstorms – poor Mayor (and you and Grandma).

We are under a freezing rain warning to be followed by heavy snow tomorrow … maybe an ice/snow day off work!

Awwww, glad to hear our girl is ok. We’ve had a warm trend down south. It’s been in the 70’s during the day and 60’s at night. Crazy.

warm today..but snow, ice, rain etc over the past weekend…not a big fan of ice…so i feel emma’s pain. took the herd to the park today..they ran like the fool’s they are…now there is much snoring & that is a good thing.

yesterday lowla decided again that she needed another bubble bath so while i filled the tub for me & stepped out to get a towel..she stepped in & hopped in the tub…i came back & found her soaking. guess she felt the need for a spa day again. even took her pix with bubbles…she soaked for about 15 minutes & then climbed out..i toweled her off & she went out to sit on the couch. guess she felt better.

    it is so odd here…

Lois – nice to hear from you darlin’! I sure wish I could give Chaps and Emma a bubble bath. I long for the day I could lift them into a tub. I would love it. I need to find someone to help me. My kids need a bubble bath!

I think we all need to contact Phil the Groundhog, and the Mayor needs to press his influence with Phil so we have an early spring.

I am so glad Our Emma has lots of padding on her rump roast.

see if you have one of those self serve dog wash places by you..those are great…i have taken a 140 lb rottie (big brad) to one…there are ramps, soap, conditioner, towels, bibs, everything you need & usually the staff is pretty helpful (at least by me anyway)

    here it’s even got a package…buy like 5 washes get the 6th free…

my guys have always been easy to plop in the tub & i don’t give them the option of saying no…lowla is the first i have had tho who puts herself in when she decides it is time for a soaking regardless of what i say…
