Howl about this Juneuary?
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Juneuary Lovers….Wow, 60 degrees in bassethoundtown today. It is time to shut down the office and get the stink blown off the kids.
Come on Mayor – Come on Shimlette – let’s shake our tail feathers!
The Farmer’s Almanac says we are in for a mild February. What shall we re-name this month? Julyuary? Odd indeed.
Howl much fun. We love playing hooky. The Mayor needed to clear his mind for his big day tomorrow!
Groundhound Day…..
More loving Juneuary later…..Cat, Chaps and Emma
It has been unseasonably warm here too. I wouldn’t go as far as June though. Our temps get in the 90’s and sometimes 100’s in June. We’ve had 70’s during the day and it could get up to 80 tomorrow. This past weekend the sun came out and it was really beautiful. Now it’s overcast and spots of rain.
I’m so glad that The Mayor and Shimlette were about to go out on the town! Sounds fun!
It has been warm in Chicago. I usually hate January because its a deep freeze or blizzard month; but, it has been pleasant and the days are getting longer.
I think everyone should take the lead from our Mayor, no working on nice days.
Wow! Wish you could send the 60 degrees up here … we could use some airing out too! 🙂
Isn’t the Mayor’s big day on Thursday?
Enjoy the sun for us.
Yes, you are right OM – Thanks for pointing that out. Howl did I miss a day?
Well, I’m sure the Mayor is just excited to give us his early Spring forecast!
I think he confused January with leap year. Or maybe we all need a nap!
I cannot believe this weather. 61 degrees just does not seem right for Feb. 1. This weather has really brought out the “season hoppers”. I was in Meijer and I saw a lady with short shorts, a spaghetti strap top and flip flops on. I mean come on people it is Feb. 1. I love the pool in the summer but I also like my fireplace, snow and hot chocolate in the winter. I have barely gotten my coat out this year. I just hope it does not snow in May!!
Sounds like my neighbor that you saw in Meijers and I am not even kidding. My Mom and cleaned the basement with the garage door open. It was so nice out but it is strange. I still have flowers in my flower box.
Hi I follow your blog & really enjoy it. I have had dogs all my life. This winter has been strange. I have pansies blooming in my yard here in West Mi. All the snow we got on Sunday(10.5″) has melted. Usually this time of winter brings major snowstorms & blizzards here. We also get alot of “lake effect” snow.
