Wow, where have I been?
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and where have I been lovers?….
Gosh, I have not been around in our town for a few days. I have kind of been down in the dumps because Emma is not feeling well. She is not eating that good and eating is what she lives for. I will keep everyone posted. I know howl much everyone loves her.
Our girl was up and ready to deliver the fliers for the next Basset Hound Town Walking Club event! She had a great time getting out.
We dropped a batch of fliers off at Judy’s home! She is the co-hostess for the 4th walking event! Here is the flier…
Click the flier so you can read it.
If you want, you can print it off and post anywhere you want. We would love to have all of the hounds in the Northern KY, Cincinnati area join us.
After we got home our BFF Janie came over with Pizza! That will make anyone feel better. Look at our Emma wagging her tail! She loves her Aunt Janie!
More walks and pizza later….Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma
When I was out with the kids today a woman saw us. She came up to the Basset Hauling Vehicle and asked me, “Why would God make dogs like this?”
Can you imagine my face?
I said, “What do you mean?” And she said,
“Such big bodies on such short legs”.
Then out of the blue, Chaps shook and slung the largest slobber you have ever seen right on her forehead. I am not kidding! The woman freaked out and left.
Chalk one up for the Mayor! Tooooooooo funny!
thats Karma!!!
I love it.
hugs and kisses
Good for Chaps! Serves the lady right to get a big honker on her head. My vet once told me that when he was in vet school someone told him that basset hounds were made from left over parts of other dogs because nothing seemed to match!! Short legs, long bodies, long ears – oh well we sure do love those mismatched body parts all put together!!! Hope we have a great day for the walk and a good turnout. Sorry to hear that our Emma is “under the weather”. She has a good mom to take care of her.
Poor Emma. Did you find anything to put the milk thistle in? Hope she feels better soon.
We wouldn’t be able to have a basset-walk in our town. According to the vet, Sophie’s the only basset in the area.
Good job, Mayor!
Good boy Chaps! That was pretty rude of that woman if you ask me. But we can always depend on the Mayor to handle the difficult situations in Basset Hound Town.
So glad everyone is having a good time. Pizza, MMMMMM!!!! The BFF knew what to bring for sure! I just may have to get one for supper tonite.
Emma looks so happy in these pictures. I hope she feels better soon.
I hope to hear that Our Emma is back to her old self soon.
What a rude woman (No one would ever say she’s a lady), I wonder why God would make someone so ill-mannered, ignorant and stupid. I think Our Mayor helped God put her in her place!
I would wag my tail for pizza too!!!
Some people have no filters! Good boy Chaps, you show her 🙂
Hope Emma bounces back for the weekend.
Cat, Lots of kisses and many bellyrubs for little Emma; hope she will be alright!!! Emma does look little next to Chaps. And our Mayor did us proud to sling that drool on that old hag! How are you doing with the milk thistle for Emma?
Hi residents – A few of you asked about the Milk Thistle. Emma is refusing all pills and if I do get one down her she gags until she throws it up. I am not even trying anymore. I don’t want her to only see me as someone who is jamming pills down her throat. We are going to see howl her blood looks early next week. I will keep everyone posted. Please sling some drool for her. (you know Chaps is) hehehe
((((((((((Our Emmers)))))))))) Dawg love her…..
I think you are right to ease up on the pills. Especially if she isn’t eating well. Try and remember that Emma is like most people- she will have days where she doesn’t feel like herself and then she will feel better. Its our job to love her everyday.
I agree Sandy. So far today she took a few bites of turkey. She keeps going to the front door for some reason. She never goes to the front door.
Maybe she wants to go for a walk. The fresh air may do her some good.
She certainly did Cindy – I hooked her right up and we had the best stroll around the block. She was sooooo cute. I need to post the pictures I took. I will do that tonight. I wish I could post the video but for some reason I can’t figure out wordpress video without doing YouTube. Anyway….no biggie.
I hope Emma is feeling all better now

Hope Emma feels better. The post above from cindy was certainly intuitive. Emma wanted to go out for some fresh air. I bet that might help her appetite!
