Himz is home safe and somewhat sound…

July 26th, 2012 - 6:06 pm KY Time

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and safe and almost sound lovers…I say almost sound because the Mayor is in some pain.  I gave him his pain pills and they do seem to be helping.

This is us coming home.  Chaps always rests his chin on the arm rest between Grandma and I.  We were so happy to see him do this on the way home.

Chaps struggled to get up the stairs but he made it.  We had his leash around his waist.

I tried to get a picture that was not too gruesome of his stitches.

Unfortunately we had a thunderstorm move through almost as soon as we got home.  It was not good.  He was so frantic and in pain.  It was the worst case scenario.

Things have calmed down now.

But we have more coming our way.  If anyone needed a break tonight it was us.

But…I am not complaining too much.  We have our boy home and he did great today.  We will get though the storms.

More loving the Mayor resting at my feet for now….Cat, Chaps, and Emma ATB

Well it is about 9:45 and I am just twiddling my thumbs watching Big Brother waiting to give Chaps his next pain pill. I think I am going to give it to him as late as possible. Right now he is sleeping at my feet and the storms are right to the skinny south of us. Grandpa and Emma are pushing them down for us.

Big Brother is pretty boring. Anyone else watch Big Brother? I watched it when Will the doctor was on and that was fun. I have not watched it since. I don’t know why I am watching this.

A mother’s work is never done! Glad himz is home safe. Those sutures look wicked. I guess I didn’t expect that. Poor baby! Those stupid cysts must really have bothered him. Good thing they are gone! I hope the thunderstorms stay away- I flew through those bad boys tonight and it wasn’t pleasant! Glad to be home myself! Kisses to Chaps and to his ever doting mommy!

I am glad that Chaps is doing so well. I would give him the pain pill as late as possible too. I am sure you can use some sleep tonight as well as Chaps. Let’s hope the storms in our town quiet down and stay that way all night. Keep us posted!

How is the weather? Just thinking about you & our big Daddy! Try & get some rest, you must be so tired! How was the dental? Did he have to have any teeth removed?

Audra – all of the storm alerts have expired. I got his 2nd pain pill in him. His dental went great and no teeth were extracted. Thank Dawg! I am so tired and I am going to sleep on the couch next to him as not to bump any of his stitches. He has not eaten or had any water yet. I know he will feel better tomorrow. Thank Dawg for those pain pills and no more storms.
