Mommy saves the day!
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Mommy Saving the Day Lovers…Well, we are on our 3rd full day of healing and Chaps is feeling better every day. Last night he even wanted to go down the back steps to the patio area and smell around!
So…this morning we were heading to the ladies room to go potty and low and behold I spotted this! (Click the picture to see more detail)
Gezzus! That is all we need, the Mayor getting mixed up with this guy! I have to give him or her credit, it is a nice looking web but the spider made a critical error. He or she attached the left bottom portion of the web to my hose! Bad move.
Anyway….I cautioned the Mayor to stay put while Mommy saved the day!
I hosed off the web but I saw the slick spider slide up the escape hate to the roof. Believe it or not the itsy bitsy spider went up the water spout. See it in the picture to the left of the Mayor? Yep. That spider will be back.
I told Chaps Rudert the coast was clear…
He wasn’t buying it. He decided to just forgo the ladies room for now and lay by the door.
I put his screen door in for him because a nice morning breeze was coming in from that direction.

That spider worked very hard! Wow. I don’t like spiders. We have the big banana spiders around here. So glad to hear Chaps is doing better. I’m sure he’ll be back to normal soon. With the 2 best nurses in the whole world he can’t help but get better!
How wonderful it is to see our sweet boy up and about. I think he is keeping an eye on that spider that disappeared into the downspout, can’t fool the Mayor and he does have a job to do and keep all the residents safe from that nasty old spider!!!
Take good care of yourself and grandma too as you have been working around the clock! Kiss that sweet boy for me and give him a “diamond” treat and well deserved I may add.
So glad that you saved him from the big bad ugly spider!! Go mommy!! Do you have the lizards at your house? Boy are they fast. Abby tries to catch them but no possible way!
