BLEUDOG AND PUP to be dedicated near Seattle:)
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and items of beauty lovers…
I love finding these little treasure stories to report to the residents.
Woodinville’s Basset Hound Sculpture to be Dedicated Next Friday
The newly installed art sculpture known as Bleudog and Pup, made possible by a donation from the late Malka Fricks, will be dedicated at 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5 in Woodinville, Washington.
A 2-foot tall bronze basset hound mom and pup statue is visible to motorists and pedestrians as they pass the corner of 133rd Avenue NE.
The sculpture is a donation from the late Malka Fricks, a former City Parks and Recreation Commissioner. The work, a 2-foot-tall bronze basset hound mother and pup, was designed and built by artist Shelley S. Curtiss.
The dedication will take place in front of the sculpture, at the corner of 133rd Avenue NE. The City has extended the sidewalk to make room for the sculpture and will provide lighting and landscaping after completing needed electrical work.
End of article….
Wow, I wish the Mayor and I were close enough to attend the dedication. Any of the residents planning on going? It looks like Woodinville is somewhat near Seattle.
More loving Bleudog and her pup later….Cat, Chaps and Emma ATB and probably going to the dedication.
What a beautiful statue. Seattle would be a good little ride from south Texas. I won’t be attending but sure wish I could.
What a wonderful sculpture, I wish I could attend the festivities, but it’s too far.
