The naming of Daisy Lynn Rudert…

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Daisy Lynn Lovers…Howl is everyone doing in bassethoundtown this fine Saturday morning?  I guess you can guess howl we are doing!  All bright eyed and bushy tailed!

Here we are potty training.  Daisy is in the ladies room and she is doing really good.  She loves this little spot.

She has been in and out about 40 times this morning!  hehehe

So, howl did Daisy Lynn get her name?  When she came from the other family she was named Chloe.  Of course, most of you know my second basset hound was named Chloe.

So, in my mind there cannot be another Chloe – aka Cholesterama young drama hound.  She was and will always be my one and only Chloe.

So, I asked Grandma to name the new pup.  Grandma named the famous Lily.  Well, it turns out that Grandma was thinking about naming Lily, Daisy but went with Lily because of her look.  So, still loving the name Daisy she went with it!  I had no idea that she was thinking about Daisy for Lily.  That made the name even more fitting for the pup!

Here is Grandma with Daisy yesterday.  I just look the look that Daisy is giving her…

Grandma always loved the name Daisy from the F. Scott Fitzgerald character, Daisy.  Ohhhh…I loved that movie.

Anyway, Grandma also picked the middle name Lynn.  That is my middle name and also Chloe’s middle name so it is very fitting.  Daisy Lynn Rudert.  I just love it and her!

Here she is laying on her puppy bed at my feet last night.  She is near perfect residents…

We will have to rent the Great Gatsby soon.  hehehe

More loving naming pups later…Cat, Daisy Lynn, (Chaps and Emma ATB) playing in the daisies…Oh, and Chloe saying, “nice job Grandma!”

I knew there would be a great story behind her name! I’ve stopped by here probably 20 times this morning hoping to catch a new glimpse of the sweet Daisy. She is so precious. It’s obvious in the picture that she loves her new grandma. 🙂

So happy for all of you.

Your new addition is absolutely adorable. What
a great name. In 1998 the top Basset Hound was
    Deerhills Great Gatsby.
I look forward daily to watch her explore and
find what a great new home she has. She is a
    very lucky little girl.
    Here is to new adventures.

Grandma did a wonderful job naming her new granddog.

I agree that you don’t want to name her Chloe since you have already had a Chloe. Each hound needs their own special identity. Grandma gave her a great name! That’s Grandma.

I think Daisy Lynn sounds romatic and a bit like a heroine from a novel. I hope to meet her someday.
