I am at my sister’s home tonight!

December 4th, 2008 - 10:10 pm KY Time

Howllo Fellow Hound and overnight lovers: I am watching my nephew Julian, Enzo the pug, and Casper the Cat tonight at my sister’s home. It is hard on me because I know that Chaps and Emma are alone tonight. They had Grandma and Grandpa (doing better by the way) with them all afternoon and this evening, but you know how I feel. I am sure it is harder on me than on them. This is the first time that I have left Emma alone over night. I know she will be fine. Me, not so much!

    Hopefuly, they will sleep the nite away. By now, you probably know that they are ok. But, you are a hound mom, and you are allowed to worry.

    Hey Candy, my Mom gave me the report this morning! Both kids were still tucked in when she popped in at 7:30 this morning. OMG what a comfort it is to have my Mom upstairs.

    She had such a funny story for me. Yesterday, when I left, my Dad was sitting in his spot on the “fancy” couch. Fancy is aka no hounds aloud! It looks like something similar to a piece of junk the way I have end tables and pillows stacked up on it to keep the hounds off.

    My Mom came down about 5:00 last night to get me something from my office and Emma was on the fancy couch in Dad’s spot. My Mom had forgot to put the pillow back. So, she made Emma get down and put her in her own bed. My Mom put 2 large pillows in their place and when back upstairs.

    At 7:30 she came back down to check on the kids and guess what she saw? One of the large pillows was on the floor and Emma was laying in the middle of the velvet pillow! I swear – she is sooooo smart and funny. My Mom was cracking up. She decided to just let her stay there!!!!

    OK who rules the roost? EMMA!
    LOL

    Hounds have got to be the stubbornest dogs! They are not to be denied. It probably gave her comfort to be near your dad’s scent. Either that, or she was just being a little stinker.

    Hounds rule that is for sure.
