Mayor Daisy Lynn lights up bassethoundtown!
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and lighting up the season lovers…Today was a decorating day!
It was really pretty out and warm so Grandma, Daisy Lynn and I went for the big event…
Light up bassethoundtown!
The Mayor was a bit apprehensive of the lights at first but she ventured out to help.
Then the money shot! She actually went under the strand by herself.
Last year we did not decorate so it has been fun getting all of the fancy stuff out.
We have the other half of the yard to do next!
So, I have a question…do you decorate outside, inside, or both?
More loving lighting up bassethoundtown later…Cat, Daisy Lynn (Chaps and Emma ATB loving the rainbow lights!)
We decorate outside & inside the house. I put up 3 Christmas trees. One in the living room & one in our kitchen dining area & that is decorated with only snowmen & snowflakes. The one downstairs is in our family room & it is done in outdoor stuff like fishing stuff. The one in the living room has home made ornaments & store bought ones. We love to decorate. It takes me about a week to get it all decorated. We are enjoying this warmer weather Tues & Wed because it is suppose to get really cold here.
Gorgeous! Absolutely GORGEOUS! Can’t wait to see the finished product. So glad Daisy Lynn is helping. I’m sure that’s why it’s so very pretty. Hehehehe.
Sandy that sounds so pretty! I would love to see it in full bloom. I am doing more outside this year than inside. Last year we did nothing to speak of and the year before that you would have thought I was Ms. Claus herself!!! hehehe
I noticed last night when I was doing some lights that a lot of people came out of their houses and were getting really busy. It was a really nice night. I heard a lot of laughing and kids singing. It was really pretty. The church bells a few streets over actually started ringing!!! Howls that for getting in the mood?
I like the idea of having theme trees! That sounds really cool!
Love Cat and Daisy girl…
Yes, I will be posting pictures of the finished product and along the way. Cindy, I have to tell you had a dream about Jethro last night. He was in a hospital room laying on a hospital bed and someone told me (not you) to take him his medicine. So I went into the room and he turned his head to me and said, “get out”. I was so hurt but I still gave him a belly rub. He then got out of bed and went out the back door to his very own hound swimming pool. He ran down the diving board and did a beautiful jump and started swimming perfectly underwater. I was under the water also watching him and being afraid he was going to hurt his stitches. He was huge. 10x the size of the real Jethro almost the size of a cow. Wild stuff. I woke up laughing. I had to share with the residents….
What a lovely photo. I can’t wait to see the finished project.
I am also anticipating a photo of Mayor Daisy selecting the Basset Hound Town Christmas Tree.
Oh my! Sounds like Jethro though to tell you to “get out”. That is too wild.
Inside is decorated now – took 3 days to get it done. Tomorrow is supposed to be warmer so we are doing the outside then. I will ride by at night when your house is done
