Natalie Rudert aka “The Natinator” was my first basset
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and “The Natinator” lovers…I have blogged about Natalie before. She was my first basset hound way back in 1994. She was the one that started my basset hound addiction. I never made it past the first kennel run she was in at the pound. “I will take her”, I said…
She wore red heart necklaces and I painted her toe nails to match.
She was a smallish hound with tons of energy. Her coat was a beautiful red and white.
The same exact coloring as Daisy Lynn.
When I first saw Daisy Lynn I immediately thought of Natalie. Their eyes are exactly the same. Their size and color are as well.
I was not granted much time with Natalie. She went over the rainbow way, way too soon.
Maybe a little bit of Natalie came back to me?
Sure hope so. I can see it her eyes…
More loving seeing spirit later…Cat, Daisy Lynn (Chaps and Emma ATB begging me not to paint Daisy Lynn’s toe nails;)
She was a beauty, so glamorous 🙂
She was beautiful!! I think you need to paint Daisy Lynn’s nails. Maybe a spring color! 🙂
Sandy – with polka dots? hehehe
All your hounds are so beautiful and so handsome. Was Chaps your only male?
Yes Maureen Chaps was my only boy hound. A boy is a joy!
I remember her well….
Love Natalie’s necklace and matching nails. What a beautiful girl. I do think you have a little bit of Natalie in Daisy Lynn. She’s here to finish where Natalie left off.
Cindy thank you so much for saying this. I kinda felt that same thing. Natalie was such a good girl. I named her so our names could rhyme. Nat and Cat. I will always adore her for leading me to my basset hound addiction.
