Share time in bassethoundtown!
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Share Time Lovers…Maybe the residents will recall that I bid on and won a sweater from a basset hound rescue auction (Mid-Atlantic Basset Hound Rescue). That made the acquisition even sweeter!
Very pretty but what I want to show the residents is the superior detail of the HAND BEADING!!!
There are even little wooden square beads!
This is the eye of the hound!
It is just too pretty to put on a shelf in a closet. I am going to look into finding a shadow box frame to hang it on the wall and be about to pull out and wear occasionally.
I actually e-mailed the designer, Michael Simon and asked if I could interview him about the design and his inspiration. I was assuming he must have a basset..no???
Well, that was about 4 days ago and I have not received an answer…sigh…Oh well…

OMDawg! As I was blogging about this sweater Daisy Lynn was sleeping by my side. She lifted her head and did a full beautiful sleep howl! It was so haunting and melodic! Wish I could have video taped it but I was not quick enough. Just a moment I will have to remember…for sure!
Sleep howl! Now you know for sure she can howl. Ha!
That sweater is amazingly detailed and I’ve never seen anything so beautiful! I agree with hanging it up to look at all the time. That had to have taken days and months to do. The eyes look so very real. So glad you won the bid! The shirt will be well taken care of and appreciated in your hands.
I totally agree CJOHR – I will cherish this piece of art. I cannot wait to update the residents about the new frame I find!

Sleep howls are rare and beautiful! I like to think of them as our hounds singing with the angels…

Beautiful!! too pretty NOT to wear!! Enjoy wearing it. I hope you hear from the designer. I love wearing things with beads, crystals or wooden beads on them.
