Bassethoundtown Walking Club Spring 2014 Event!
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Walking Club Lovers…If one could have ordered a perfect day for a walk it would have been today! Just super duper bassetabulous. The first walkers to arrive were Bumper and Abby! Abby was off to the side but I must showcase Bumper, my darling Bumper…I could tell when he got out of the car he was as excited as a hound in a wiener shop!
I know he knew exactly where he was and it was going to be fun!
Just look at his look of contentment…
Upon arrival every hound was served wieners on a silver platter! We don’t mess around in bassethoundtown! hehehe
Judy captured this shot right after Nosey pawed the platter and many of the wieners rolled into her mouth! There is even a wiener mid air! She even shoved some Daisy Lynn’s way!
Gotta love a BFF!
One of the highlights of the day was meeting Sam Hall Newbold! Marsie, his Mom brought a daisy collar for my Daisy Lynn to match Nosey and Sam, pictured with Tom the husband and Mr. Hall the Grandpa!
Then it was off to the dog park and a world of smells!
A beautiful time was had by all!
And to top it off the “traditional” photo of yours truly holding as many hounds as I can! About 4 or 5 were left out of the shot…
The Mayor Daisy Lynn will be sweet dreaming tonight!
More silver platters filled with wieners later…Cat, Daisy Lynn, (Chaps and Emma ATB sending the perfect weather and friends…)

What beautiful photos! Oh how I wish we could attend one of these BHT walks. (Were there any wieners left after Nosey tipped the platter … and bribed the Mayor?). Looks like such fun.
Anyway Mr. Bumper – you are the handsome elder Patriarch of BHT … I just want to smooshy that wonderful face of yours.

Today was a super dooper basset fabulous day! I have been pumping up Bumper and Abby all week for this very special day. They were rearing to go this morning and they rarely sat down the entire time we were there. Bumper’s nose was looking for those mini hot dogs on the silver platter as soon as you got them out. The weenies were really enjoyed by all the hounds! I am just so happy we were able to attend the walk with Bumper and Abby again this year – they are both 12 now so I cherish all the memories I can still have with them. The basset walks will continue on for many years to come and we will be there – hopefully with Bumper, Abby and our new puppy next year!!
Jack N – Got it and we will drop off fliers there. We were thrilled to meet Virgil! Darling Boy for sure! Can’t wait to see you all in October!
Judy – this event would not be the event it is with out you. Thank you so much for all of the help it takes to pull it all together! I loved that Brian (your son) ran over to say hi, and your darling grand-daughter with her doggie. Seeing all of them was really cool! OMDawg…new puppy!!! Bumper and Abby will be so proud!!! So will I!

Beautiful day for sure! I think we need to crown Bumper and Abby as king and queen of the Basset Hound Town 2014 Walking Club! What a handsome soul Bumper is. All the hounds and humans look to be having a great time! So glad it was a beautiful day for you.
Thank you so much for planning another fantastic walk! Nosey, Sam the Dog II, Tom, my Dad and myself had a wonderful time! The Bassethoundtown walks are the highlight of our social calendar. When I am having trouble sleeping or am having a bad day, I just close my eyes and think of our walks… We had a beautiful day with sunshine, cool breezes, blue skies and puffy white clouds. The grass was so tender and green, the Basset Hounds were in heaven feeling it between their toes. We love you all. xoxo
