It was a wild ride in bassethoundtown last night!

Howllo Fellow Basset and hunkering down lovers!  Yesterday we went out run a few errands.  One of which was filling up our care package for our Julian who is away at OSU!  What a fantastic campus.  We cannot wait to go and visit him.  Anyway…we were supposed to get a few evening storms but this was a doozie!

This is 2 streets down from our street and main headquarters of bassethoundtown enterprises!  Daisy Lynn was in her safe house, aka kennel.  We were so worried.  We could not pass through this mess.  The power pole snapped in half!

So, we checked her camera that is aimed on her kennel and she was sleeping.  We were live viewing when the electric shut off!

So with her safe and tucked in what could we do???

Ya turn around pronto and go to our favorite Mexican Restaurant!  Lord have mercy!!!  The margarita machine was at optimal performance!  Thank Dog their electric did not go out!

Then, after a dose of delicious we ventured out to head home.  Our town is amazing and the whole thing was cleaned up but the electric was still off.

What to do, what to do???

Remember reading???  Reading a real book???

It was a stroke of genius that we had stopped by the library earlier in the week…

No lights?  No problem…

I grabbed my flash light and dove right in!

Have any of the resident read this book?  So far I really like it.  It’s a murder mystery involving a basset hound, a little boy and the people who come to their rescue.  The basset is not the one murdered or the little boy…FYI…

What a nice way to spend a Saturday evening…

Eventually, the lights came back on and TV started screaming at me but I turned it off and kept reading…

More loving a good basset hound book later…Cat, Daisy Lynn, (Chaps and Emma ATB drinking rainbow slush puppies…)
