Did the Holidays seem unusually long to you?
January 5th, 2009 - 10:10 am KY Time
Howllo Fellow Hound and long holiday lovers??? It just seemed to me that the holidays lasted about 3 years or more. I don’t know why. Well it is back to work and our regular day to day routine. Did you make a resolution? I did not until I saw these pictures.
And it just struck me………….
LIVE LIFE LIKE A LOVABLE BASSET HOUND!

More living life like a lovable basset hound in 2009 later…..Cat, Chaps and Emma
Those pics are too cute. Oh, to be so carefree.
Yes, Cat the holidays did seem long this year. I don’t know if is what the unexpected death of my brother on Dec. 6, the fact tha our winter started before Thanksgiving or just the general mode of the country, but I think this was one of the worst holiday seasons I’ve had. I was glad to see 2009 come along. Of course, we did have the saga of Homer to distract us. Anyway, on to spring!
Candy
New Diet called the Homer Diet. I am bound to lose weight this year because our Homer demands his share of the goodies like chinese food and cannolis! He loves sesame chicken but green beans and yellow peppers…NOT. So splitting things 3 ways will definitely result in a weight loss.
Bad news is my computer store friend is not there today so it’s tomorrow for pics, unless some 4 year old in the neighborhood can come over and shw me!! Be assured Homer is enjoying his new life and diggs. We had our walk again this morning. I went and got Diamond small bites for the pekes and ultra holistic for Homer this morning. The pekes are very fussy. Homer eats anything that’s in the bowls.
Homer just had his first Frosty Paw Pawty. He loved it! He also loved the gravy from the beef stew i made for dinner. The sesame chicken for lunch was a big hit. But, our boy doesn’t like his veggies and refused to eat green beans or yellow pepper. He did suck the sauce off them! The kids in the neighborhood haven’t seen him yet. Tomorrow morning we may visit the bus stop at 8:30. It’s all fun fun fun here at Homer’s new house. He is getting along well with his brudders. The only obstacle is feeding cuz he eats so fast and wants theirs too! I got him a new BIG stainless steel water bowl today and some Ultra dog food. He isn’t finicky at all. Thank you everyone for helping my boy get to me, who have followed his journey, contributed $$ and love him as I do. He will have the best life possible as long as God allows.
Joni! these updates are pawsome! We cannot get enough of them! Remember, a lot of folks just read and don’t leave comments but they still love your updates!
