Chaps and Emma have an appointment with Homer’s vet tomorrow!
Howllo Fellow Hound and new vet lovers!
I am taking Chaps and Emma to a new vet tomorrow. It is Homer’s vet.
Both Chaps and Emma are going for their well baby visits.
Over the holidays my vet told me that they could not get Homer in for boarding and it made me a little mad and very sad. There had to be some space they could have made for him at his time of need. The more I think about it the madder I get.
I also am not that thrilled with other aspects of the practice so new year, new vet! This vet is only about 4 minutes from my home!
I will take pictures for sure!
Dr. Doan has a basset that is in kidney failure. He is very sad about that. Maybe he has a picture of her that I can show everyone. He lost his other basset last year to cancer.
That’s got to be hard on a family.
Well, I guess it is the price for you pay for love. I saw that statement on Guardian Angel Basset Hound Rescue’s site. It is so true.
More vet pupdates later……..Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma
Homer said to tell Dr. Doan and the girls hello and thanks for helping him get ready for his new life. he is very happy here in ny. Once the weather improves we’ll go for walks again. I fell on black ice yesterday with Pally in my arms. He’s ok, thank God. I on the other paw am rather beat up. Homer & Gizzy immediately came to our rescue. Good boys. Drool for my aching body.
I hope the Mayor & Emma like their new vet! How nice he’s so close! I know the vet will fall in love with them – who could resist???
Lots of good vet visit drool headed your way.
Chris
Good luck at the Dr. kids. Joni – I hope you are taking it easy and on the mend.
Candy
Anyone in town thinking about seeing the movie “Hotel for Dogs” when it opens next week?
Candy I really want to see that movie. I was hoping to go with my nephew.
My Mom really wants to see it as well. It looks so cute!
Cat
I want to see “Hotel for Dogs” too…..but if you haven’t already seen “Marley and Me” — DON’T!!!!! It is way TOO SAD!!!! I was actually sick to my stomach after I saw it….I wish I would of been forewarned. Keep us posted on the new ‘vet visit’ today! How nice that your vet is owned by a Basset!
Audra – I will probably wait to see Marley & Me when it comes out on DVD- I read the book so knew how it ends.
BTW – The Pedigree Foundation (dog food) sponsors adoption drives to animals. For every ticket sold to Hotel for Dogs, Pedigree will donate money to the foundation to help homeless dogs find homes. So, hopefully, we will get to see a good movie and do some good at the same time. After all, Cat can’t save EVERY dog!!!!!
Good luck with your new vet! It is great that he has a Basset hound! Have a great New Year!!! I miss you!
Love and hugs,
Nin
P.S. I hope Joni is on the mend. Thank god no broken paws!!!
I will probably not watch Marley and Me. The book has been sitting in my home for 3 years and I still have not read it. Plus, the whole Jennifer Anniston thing kind of rubs me the wrong way.
Audra – thanks for the review! Cat
Candy – good point about the Pedigree foundation. Finally! A corporation doing the right thing. How nice!
Cat
Hi big Sis! I just got your check in the mail for Homer! Your assistant stuck 10.00 in the envelope as well from her. How touching. I am going to go update Homer’s fundraising page now! You girls rock.
We miss you too.
Cat
You go Miss Kit Cat!!!
Come visit me!!!!
I love my Cat!
xoxoxo,
Nin
Why are you changing vets? I thought Chaps and Emma like their other vet and clinic.
Joni – I just got back from Dr. Doan. I am working on a blog posting. He was very jazzed to hear about our Homer.
Cat
Maureen – I guess I have several reasons. The straw that broke the camel’s back was Homer. I could not believe that they could not take him in, in his time of need. I had been eye ballin’ Dr. Doan for awhile and I thought, why not? He has bassets and he is 5 minutes from my home. Done deal! Our visit went great today and I am going to do a blog right now.
