Howllo Fellow Hound and Photo Contest Lovers:
Many of my dear readers may remember that Chaps entered the Sr. Hounds Abound Calendar contest for 2009. My Mom and I did a big photo shoot and everyone helped us pick this picture of him.
Well, now I am using this same picture in a contest that Cincinnati Bell Yellow Pages is running. If Chaps get’s the most votes he will be on the cover of the Yellow Pages and he will be awarded 1,000 dollars which he will promptly send to House of Puddles after he pays taxes. Actually, we will check into that and maybe he would not have to pay taxes since he would want the check made out to HOP which is a 501(c)3 not for profit rescue.
Hahahaha – listen to me, I am already acting like he won. Well, a Mom can’t be too sure or too proud! I just signed him up and I am waiting for my confirmation e-mail. I will post the details very soon. I know that you can vote for him everyday. I already saw 3 or 4 bassets in the contest.
Now I am getting nervous. Can you imagine? 1,000 dollars toward our goal of 10,000 dollars. That would put at 7,000 dollars.

I voted too! I plan on voting everyday also. I’m not sure how they count but after I voted it said number of votes was 1/5. Before I voted it said 0/5 so maybe tomorrow it’ll say 0/6? Weird. Oh well, all I know is I voted!
I know – I can’t figure out if they give a tally or what. I am going to e-mail them.
I think it has something to do with you are allowed to vote for 5 different dogs every day.

No – you do not have to register. If you try to vote for Chaps again from your same e-mail, it will say “Sorry, you already voted for this dog today”. I will post some updates as soon as I find out.
