Hey friends! I’m alive………

February 3rd, 2009 - 10:10 am KY Time

Howllo Fellow Hound and wondering where I am lovers! Well, maybe I shouldn’t go that far! Anyway, I have been around and slowly digging us out of the ice. It is just crushing how much ice we have.

Can you see the Mayor in the window? Of course he is worried sick that I am outside. He reminds me of a shut in. Heck, I guess he is a shut in!

This is an ice encrusted tree across the street from me. Look how it is leaning. It looks like a huge pink cotton candy!

When the sun hits that tree it just glistens and gleams. It is just breath taking. I guess I should have taken a video. Also it makes a noise like it is singing. I guess it’s nature’s music.

Well, I hope you enjoyed my ice story!

Hopefully, I don’t have too many more this season.

More about non ice issues later….Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma

It still shocks me that Kentucky gets snow and ice. I am sure the Mayor takes comfort in the fact that you are outside and he is inside enjoying the view of you working.

I think that, as Mayor, Chaps should take you on a helicopter ride over Bassethound town. That way, the Mayor could view his city and make sure all is well. And, how pretty would that be?

Hi Cat, I’m so glad to hear from you. With all of the news about the ice in Kentucky I was starting to worry about our ‘Basset Hound Town’, but with a wonderful Mayor like Chaps I knew he would keep his town safe. Sending Texas sunshine your way…..today it will be in the 70’s — can you believe the temp. difference. We never know one day from the next here!

Did u get the pics i sent earlier of Homer? He is elated that Emma will be his Valentine!! I was getting worried about how i was going to find him one. I assure u he will be a total gentleman with your Emma. Since i will be in Fla for the waddle u will have to provide transportation/chaperone for their Valentine date. Homer would like to go out to dinner and a movie, if emma is agreeable.
    Love, Joni & Homer
