Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and TopsField Kennel Lovers:

Well, the only surprise last night was that the hound group was first up. Normally the Westminister Kennel Club has the hounds the second night, which is tonight.

It was no surprise to see Silver Noodles as the top basset hound handled by the phenomenal Brian Martin. They both looked marvelous.

Here is a link to the breed judging video. Topsfield Kennel also comes in second with
Sue Frischmann showing a real stunner. I am not sure who it is, but I will find out.

2009 Basset Hound Breed Judging

Rats, the video doesn’t work for me.

I really think Chaps could help with the judging.

    Maureen:

Try switching browsers or go to Westminster kennel club and breed videos are on the home page.

You can actually see all of the breeds being judged.

    Hope that helps.

What does Best of Opposite Sex mean?

  4. February 11th, 2009 | 8:02 am

What ever gender wins the best of breed there is also a winner of the opposite of that sex. Since Noodles, a girl won. Best of Opposite would be a boy. That does not mean second place.

There is 1st, 2nd, and 3rd not gender related and Best of Opps.

Very confusing. It’s all based on a point system to gain a champion title.
