Sold for $26,840.
Going for the give away price of 26,840 this stunner sold today at auction from the English Auction House, Bonhams.
Bonhams website states “Bonhams is proud to have led the market in canine paintings and works of art for over 25 years. Held in New York and organised to coincide with the Westminster Dog Show, the Dog Sale consistently attracts a unique gathering of elite breeders and owners, as well as international collectors of canine art and memorabilia.”
I just have a feeling that whoever bought this piece is going to present it to the Mayor very soon! It seems the only fair thing to do! LOL, I know just where I would put it!

What a wonderful piece!! Earl is a wonderful artist, Royal Academy and all that, and specialized in painting all the breeds. I’d love to know the buyer as well!

Topsfield is a basset kennel. Claudia, the owner had number 1 and 2 in the best of breed at Westminster. She usually always does. However, at the Nationals this year she did not win Best of Breed. Anyway, she is in Vermont.
