Emma ordered to shed pounds……

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and shedding pounds lovers……..

As we approach week six in Emma’s recovery I have noticed a change! Emma was ordered by her physical therapist to shed 8 pounds. Since I don’t have a scale and she has not been weighed I do not know her progress but a picture is worth at least 4 or 5 pounds!!!!!!

Just look at her shapely figure!

This was taken today and I was captivated by her thin waist! Even though she was never too heavy her physical therapist said she needs to be on the thin side now. She seems to be doing fine with our new “cutting back” routine.

    Dear Kerry – OMG! I went looking after your comment! Look at this picture I found of her in almost the same position 3 months prior to surgery!

    Can you believe it? I am shocked. It has to be at least 4 pounds!

    Oh, Cat – you will use any excuse to snap a picture of a basset butt LOL. But, I must say, Emma has that classic hour-glass figure now. I’m more of an apple myself!

    Wow! Emma is one svelte lady! As we know, with bassets losing the weight is much better on the back. Biggs has the same nipped in waist–I call him “Bone Butt” ’cause,… well…, it looks like a bone!;)

    Your therapist needs to be reminded that Bassets are meant to be well-rounded, and it is almost impossible to lose weight in your ears.

    Our Emma, needs to look solid and shapely.
