One small step for hound kind – One giant step for Emma, divine!
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Giant Step Lovers: These pictures may look like a normal morning in basset hound town. Emma looking cute and sweet! Well, it is a really big deal for us! We are into our 6th week of recovery from back surgery. This is Emma’s first morning, in the kitchen, standing on the hardwood floor!!!!!!
Can you believe how incredibly cute she is? She is so thrilled to be back to her routine!
Here she is milling around, sweeping for crumbs. This is an all time favorite activity!
OMG – this is the first thing she does every morning.
Now it’s time for breakfast! She has not been in her, “spot” for 6 weeks! I think if she could leap in the air she would have!
Then, it’s off to the comfort corner. Today was the best medicine ever for our girl.
This bed is her joy! After I took this picture she went belly up for the first time! My goodness! We had a lot of firsts this morning!
More Emma divine moments later…Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma
This is wonderful news, I am so glad that Our Emma is getting back to her everyday routine.
How exciting! I am so happy for you and Emma.
plain and simple YES!!!
Most beautiful pictures posted anywhere today!
Kerry, did you see Hannah’s picture on the fridge! I hung it down low so Emma could smell it.
hehehe
Great News! I know she is so very happy that she’s able to get back to her routine. Dogs live for routine and being able to get back to normal will help her to heal that much quicker! Good girl Emma!!!
Emma the magnificent. She can do it all.
So happy to hear that Emma is getting back to her normal routine. I know how happy you must be seeing her getting better and better everyday and getting back to her normal ways. Give Emma a hug from me

I hadn’t noticed before Cat … that’s so sweet. We love Chaps and Emma. Hannah insists everyday that we check in at Basset Hound Town. I’ve even incorporated them into some of our homeschool lessons (they are wonderful teachers!).
